I really thought the Raiders were going to start stronger.
Well the next Month should separate the pretenders from the contenders. That said the AFC East looks pretty competitive compared to the other divisions.

did anyone actually think the Broncos were any better than .500 and maybe 3rd in that division?

i know the hype train was chugging, but realistically looking at that roster, they are exactly who they should be

I know I questioned them overpaying for Russell Wilson. But then again, I thought the same thing of the Colts this year and the Colts last year.

Gilly confirming what I observed in 2020 that he had checked out and didn’t want to play for NE anymore.

This is a bad look for Russell Wilson right now.

Got a kick out this pre game, Tomlinson said Jerry Jeudy is “just a guy”. Need more honesty from analysts.

While we'd be better with a checked-in Gilly, I don't feel like our secondary is really our problem anymore.

Agree but we don't want those CB's in run support too much that's how guys get hurt. Need our LB's to make plays but that might be tall order now.

I really hope Bill makes better moves on LBs this offseason.

Somebody finally called him out. Cliff Avril said the same thing about a year or two ago that Wilson is fake and the locker room was divided on this. Regarding his wife, she should be thanking her lucky stars Wilson took on a single mom who was a d list musical artist. And as Kyle said, now for some reason they both think they are “Jay Z and Beyoncé”.

Since 2020:
Indy has 22 wins, NE has 18

Which GM should be more worried?

Yeah, but the Patriots may have the QB of the future on their roster to turn around their fortunes. They may not, but at least they didn't waste their first round pick on Carson Wentz and a year later look to be on a team on the decline with not even a glimmer of hope of who their QB of the future is. Even if Mac Jones flames out, he was a better gamble with a first round pick than Carson Wentz was with a first round pick.

Yeah, I thought the Seahawks knew there was an issue with Wilson and weren't upset at all to get rid of him. Wilson had two really good WRs in Seattle and didn't perform. I don't get why people figured a change of scenery and a downgrade at receiver would make him elite again.

I thought maybe Reich could repair Wentz. The bigger question is WTF the Cobra Commanders thought when they looked at Wentz on the Colts and said, "We'll have some of what they're having."

I'll give you this. The Commanders have gotten more out of Carson Wentz than I thought they would and probably more than the Colts did last year. Not saying much, but.....

If Mac flames out, the team loses 3 years and would be starting from scratch with another 3-4 year rebuild. Let's hope that isn't the case because that's what most of the other 31 endured during our 20 years of success. I know Wussie hates this, but the QB makes a huge difference.

I know other people feel differently, but a vet QB makes sense if the rest of the team is within the SB window and I didn't feel like the Pats of 2019m 2020 were in that window. If not, take the years and develop the QB and the team, because then your window is open longer. Like I'm wondering if Tenn's window is already closed?

Yeah, but Andrew Luck retired just before the 2019 season and the Colts have spend a first and second round pick to get the combo of Wentz/Ryan and they are nowhere closer to solving their QB situation. And based on Ballard's record, there is no reason to believe he won't continue to go the washed up QB route.

But I agree that if Mac flames out, it does mean starting the process over unless the Pats trade for or sign QB who might actually be a good stopgap until the next guy of the future is ready.

The problem with the Colts are they keep trading for the stopgap QB while not actually trying to find the permanent QB.
