The NFL has suspended Seahawks starting right tackle Sean Locklear for Sunday's game at Kansas City for violating its personal conduct policy.
-----
Tom Ashworth will make his first start for the Seahawks in Locklear's place against the Chiefs. Ashworth started 30 regular-season games over the previous three seasons for the New England Patriots, 27 of them at right tackle.

Coach Mike Holmgren said he "had an inkling" that Locklear could be suspended sometime this season, but he was surprised by the timing.

"Every once in a while I am surprised by what takes place. And this is one of those," Holmgren said. "But it is what it is."
-----
Seattle also will be missing league MVP Shaun Alexander, Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, 2005 leading receiver Bobby Engram and starting left guard Floyd Womack. All are injured.
Only Herm can queer it for us now.

But I heard that Huard is injured and Herm might have to play rookie Brodie Croyle at QB. Trent Green is still not ready apparently...

If Detroit and St.Louis had a pair, Seattle would be 2-4 right now, and in deep doo-doo.

Herm already queered it up for us, by beating San Diego, our only hope to overtake Denver in the AFCW.

Eh, Seattle is a good team with a good record, an easy schedule, and will get healthier. When we got the pick I expected it to be between 25-32, now i'm hoping it'll be between 20-25.

Of course, if hasslebeck's injury is worse than reported or ends up lingering then we could be looking at a better pick. I'd never root for a guy to get hurt, but now that he is I see nothing wrong with hoping the injury lingers and that he isn't 100% till next year.

i will root for someone to get hurt

I hope champ bailey sacks peyton this weekend, tearing his knee.... i hope that champ tears his shoulder in the process (if that's possible)

Might as well root for Champ to hurt himself in the process too
