Personalities like Manning, Favre, Tomlinson, Dungy...it hardly matters what they say or do, how they fail, what kind of on- or off-field idiocy they may display. Sure, we might see a pocket of someone actually calling it like it is from time to time, but that ALWAYS goes away, and the rose-colored glasses go right back on. If anyone thinks the "Manning is the greatest of all-time" talk is going away, you're crazy. Give it a few weeks.

Other like Brady, Moss, and Belichick (there are non-Pats, of course...we're just most familiar with these three) are hyper-criticized and everything they do is magnified.

That's just the way it is; I've stopped fighting it.

But we know what's up, baby.
