That doesn't even make sense with the context they provided. Pierce absolutely must have said something else that they're omitting (ex. "Those guys were frauds! They cheated!"), but they're at a point where they know can say anything they want about McDaniels, including warping stories by omitting key details about things, and people will believe it anyway.

According to Michael Strahan, he actually wasn’t very confident going into that game and had a private meeting with Osi and Tuck saying it was up to them if they had any shot.
