Was with some friends at Tort's Bar and Grill in Seekonk last year and Greg "The Hammer "Valentine was there. Nobody believed me until he turned around. He was standing at a counter 10 feet from us. He turned to leave and I just nodded to him, he was drunk as hell.

I ahve meet a couple WWE wrestlers thats about it. lot bigger and nicer in person

(besides hanging with the Ramones one time)
my brush with fame was sitting next to Dewey Evans up in first class one business trip to somewhere in the midwest. he was looking to sign on with another team, at the end of his Red Sox career. nice guy.

on the flight back, i saw Hank Stramm in the airport, went up and said "is that a super bowl ring on your hand?", winked and kinda kept moving. he laughed.

You hung out with the Ramones?? I know they're an aquired taste but I'm a huge fan. I would have loved to sit down them.

I believe Willie goes back to LA regularly, if he left Sunday night he'd be coming back on Tuesday for Wednesday practice. My best guess.
That's a good guess.

To follow the tilt this thread has taken, besides Willie, my "bump into celebrity in real life list" includes:

Gerry Cheevers, flying in first class (him, not me) on an airplane.

Joe Thornton, Sergei Samsonsov, Alisson, and Ray Bourque, at a hotel in Denver. This was when Ray was still with the Bruins - he went to play for Colorado the next year. I saw them in the evening in the hotel lobby, then the next morning in the hotel restaurant. Raymond was sitting by himself reading a newspaper, while the young guys were sitting together. I asked him for his autograph and he not only obliged, but asked me about myself. I was floored. He was such a nice guy - a real class act.

Russ Francis and a couple of other Pats of that era in Ken's Steak House. That goes back a few years!

edit: I also saw former Celtic Eric Montross buying jewelry at Natick Mall. He was a bust as an NBA player but is still a minor celebrity here in Raleigh - (he played for the Tarheels.)

Joe Horne and Oil Can Boyd in the old Filenes' Basement store in Framingham.

Robert Parish, twice, in Wayland Apothecary on Rte 30 in Wayland.

ML Carr (when he was still a player) at the Stop and Shop at 9&27.

Wilt Chamberlain, in street clothes, walking through the outer lobby in the old Boston Garden on his way to play the Celtics. I was in a small throng of people waiting for the box office to open (I was there quite early) and suddenly there was a buzz in the crowd, and I looked up just in time to see this human wall walk right in front of me! If I had stuck my foot out six inches I could have tripped him. Man, he was the tallest human being I have ever seen!

That's all I can think of right now - there are probably more.

edit: Oh, and I saw former Celtic and UNC Tarheel center Eric Montross buying jewelry in Natick Mall. (He was a bust in the NBA but is still a minor celeb here in Raleigh...)

For somebody who is NOT famous, I've met a ton of famous people, mostly on planes.

I sat next to Sam Donaldson in first class, on a flight from FLA to DCA (first time I ever flew first class).
I sat next to congressman Joe Kennedy during Operation Desert Shield, and talked about what he was going to say on Larry King Live that night.
I was on a puddle jumper with Senator Ford of KY at the time.
I sat directly in front of Al Franken on a flight to LA, and chatted with him for a bit.
I was on a flight with RB Jim Brown.
YAZ was on my flight, but wasn't very nice. He wanted no part of my pleasantries. Mean guy, but I get not wanting to be bothered. I was just saying hi.
I was on a flight with Gary Hart during the Donna Rice fiasco.
I met Bill Cosby, and myself and some siblings talked to him for about 15 minutes, at my sister's wedding reception was at the same place he was staying, in Cohasset a long time ago. He was awesome, and as nice as you'd expect him to be.
I met Brooke Shields at a bagel ship in San Diego. Same deal - super nice to the fans around her.
I've been on a flight on three different occasions with James Carville, and recently with Donna Brazille.
One of my favorite kid stories is that as a 13 year old, during the 1975 World Series, we were waiting to go into game two. It was raining lightly and the Reds bus pulled up. A player was motioning to me, that something was on the ground. I didn't know what he was saying. He got off the bus, but his arm on my shoulder and led me to a puddle, where there was a bottle cap. He said he thought it was a quarter. It was Jack Billingham, who pitched and won that game for the Reds (I want to say 3 to 2, over Bill Lee and my Sox, but don't quote me).

That's about one tenth of them. It's been uncanny how many times I hop on a flight, and say "oh, it's so and so from such and such". Pretty wild.

I'm not bragging either, I'm just jumping on this post and sharing.

I pale in comparison to everyone else..

Met Jim Brown and Bill Belichick in about '01, Brown was in town for his Amer-I-Can program.. my job was to greet BB and escort him, little did I know. I had my pic taken with Jim Brown, my all time fave. Wish I had a picture taken with BB that night, but what did I know.

At a Troy Brown event, had my pic taken with Colvin.. met a lot of pats players that night.

Shared an elevator with Stevie Ray Vaughan at a hotel in Boston.

Met Lew ALcindor, now Kareem, when he played for DeMatha High School in the ESCIT tournament in Newport..

In the 60's was in Bachelors 3 in Boston, shared a table with the owner of the Blackhawks.. he bought us a drink, finished ours.. then he gave the stare, we left.. could not afford to buy a round.

I wouldnt say your list pales in comparison. These three are very impressive meets in my opinion

I met JoJo White at the Pittsburgh Airport in 1975. Ive shook hands with Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and Michael Dukakis at rallies when they were each running for President.
My favorite was in 2002 when i went to Game 4 of the ECF at the Fleet. I had premium seats so i could go down practically to the floor an hour before general seating. Brent Musburger was just sitting there and i got to plop down next to him. He was really nice and we talked a lot about the Celtics-Lakers series in the old Garden in the 80's. It didnt go as well with Cedric Maxwell. I tried thanking him for 1981 and 1984 but he had just gotten a big plateful of food and I think he wanted to eat.
In the early 90's I saw Peter Gammons in the old newspaper shop in Brookline on Harvard Street and he gave me a heads up about Rob Deer. of course, like many others, i had a good chat with Luis Tiant at his Cuban stand outside Fenway. He liked that I brought up his showdown with Jim Palmer at Fenway in 1975. 2-0 win with homers by Fisk and Petrocelli.
