I don’t think people like Ken know why they do what they do either. I mean, it’s obvious quite a few of the older folks around here don’t get humor as a coping mechanism, but to go above and beyond general concern for someone you’ve never met before and to really make an effort to show that your heart is bleeding for them is pretty ridiculous. If you were to dig deep enough into the psychology of it, you’d probably find that this is coming from a belief in karma. That if you outwardly show levels of concern above and beyond the normal for those people, good things will happen for you should you ever be presented with such a situation in your life. Hyper empathy. For example, I made this post a few pages ago and nobody batted an eye...
...because it contained a normal level of empathy. You inject some humor (gallows humor, as it’s been called) into it, though, and now you have every holier-than-thou old guy who drives a Toyota Yaris and got his sense of humor stripped from him a long time ago coming down on you. It’s actually quite humorous to watch. It’s okay, Ken. I still love ya. But maybe you should learn that people are allowed to use humor in times like this. If you feel differently, feel free to put me on ignore or whatever.
Has Joe predicted a 7th Patriots Super Bowl victory?Joe Bastardi called it right all along. He predicted Dorians landfall at SC and NC.
Next week Joe predicts a heat wave in the south.
Jessica Eldridge said her husband was "afraid his car might blow away" )
One of the true signs of idiocy is piss poor sentence structure.
You offer neither in any sort of quality. So I guess you’re the odd man out either way. I guess you could always fall back on your extreme knowledge of the game and tease us with some cerebral X’s and O’s breakdowns. Oh wait...Always good to hear from the grammar police.. thanks for noticing.. but probably will not change.
Perhaps you could suggest to Ian that verbosity rather than brevity be the new standard on this forum..
That's Jacksonville for you, always taking the Smart approach.

Yes, you are.Its just the sign of the times where a certain group of people are constantly looking for reasons to be offended.

Yup, my brother lived in Yulee for a couple of long years. But I always said he was living in Yulee, Georgia. The smartest creatures for miles around were the snakes. (Not trying to offend anyone, this is more about the intelligence of the vermin so please y'all relax.)Duuuuuuuuuuvaaaaaaaaaallllllllllll.
I’m not offended but there are quite a few (as evidenced by this thread now) who may be. You should be careful in the future as there might be posters who just lost pet vermin and may feel deeply about it.Yup, my brother lived in Yulee for a couple of long years. It wasn't aimed at you as you are self aware as anyone posting here. Yulee changed my brother's life. One day he packed up his car with all his valuables, left a note and drove to Ithaca, NY and accepted being a Buddhist. He's been on an upswing ever since. I look to Triumph to have that same type of epiphany one day and become the Transgender woman we all see him being.I’m not offended but there are quite a few (as evidenced by this thread now) who may be. And yes, Yulee is about what you would picture when you envision inland Florida.
Her husband doesn't own a car... or a man card
Yes, you are.

Safe travels. When I do I want to marry you.
Youre special.
No other person here has shown me more interest and been so obsessed with me. Your personal love notes would melt anyone's heart. As promised I will abide by your wishes and keep them private. Plus, you make me laugh like a clown. I will be in contact as soon as possible my little clown.
