20nd largest US city vs. 1st largest

Pats, Sox, coming through in the clutch. - Jets, Mets, Yankees folding up.

Celtics personnel composition vs. Knicks personnel composition

Sox and Pats treating their coaching staffs with dignity and respect; vs. Yankees firing and insulting a 12 year Hall of Fame manager who has gotten the team to the playoffs every year, the public debate about Willie Randolph, and then the Mangini turmoil.

Sox sluggers coming through in October unlike any group in history; Yankees sluggers anemic, almost laughable.

Pats and Sox favored to win world titles; Celtics to win their division. No team favored to win anything in NYC.

BC football vs....Columbia?

I don't follow hockey so I can't comment on that.

I am gonna say that this is a special time between Boston and NY sports; a time where we are head and shoulders above anything they are offering from their city. I love every second of it.

Bruins shut out the Rangers a couple nights ago, too.

I see the America is getting its moneys worth out of the educational system...

A couple of decades ago, Boston was the 22nd, but is now the 20th, and I smurgled the two.

Now, go look up "smurgled" to maintain your vigilance.

Let's not discount the fact that Patriots players aren't playing in a vacuum. Quite a few were at the game last night - and at the player level I don't think there's a sense of competition for the hearts of New England.

They are all very supportive and watching the Sox on the Championship stage I believe will serve as a nice tangible reminder to the Patriots, giving them the additional drive to make it there themselves (as if they really needed any).

Though quite honestly, I think this team is beyond looking to "just" the Championship as a goal. Although no one would ever publically say so, the team's play tells me that they TRULY want to achieve sports immortality with the perfect season.

As such I'm expecting no drop off or trap games at any time this season... and although there might be a temptation to rest guys if they wrap things up early, I think the team will convince BB to let them have a go at the perfect season if they're in position to do so.

Head and shoulders above pretty much every city in the USA mate.
