Thank you for clicking on my thread. First, Ian &/or Mods if this inappropriate please move or delete the thread, but I ask that you do with great consideration.

As some of you may or may not know I coach my son’s youth football team. We are an American Youth Football (AYF) travel team based in Stafford, VA. We have been fortunate enough to represent the Atlantic Region in Orlando, FL December 7th to the 14th. This is the third season in a row that we have made the trek to Orlando. Organizationally, we fundraise throughout the year, to help with the costs associated with the travel.

Unfortunately, our team, like many youth sport teams (and in life), has several families that live in or around poverty and require financial assistance for this costly, but once in a childhood event; especially during the holidays. Last year we had several donations.

Yet, we still had two children that couldn’t afford to go. That killed me, as a child born and raised in the welfare system, I make it a personal mission to ensure every child on our football team is able to travel to Orlando and participate in the AYF National Championship tournament and further more just experience Orlando, FL….Something many would never experience if not for the great game of Football and the generosity of others.

This season it is my goal to ensure that every kid that played week one, also plays the final game in Orlando, something that has not happened in either of the past two seasons. These kids have played their ass off on the football field and the one’s I am requesting help for have lived their asses off at home filling roles that most folks couldn’t imagine filling in many instances, until after they graduated college.

The Falmouth Tide AYF Jr Midget team is asking for help, but within the American Spirit, not for free! We are raffling off (Separately) an Xbox 360 and a Microsoft RT Tablet. Each entry costs $5, the drawing will be held in the middle of December and each item will be delivered well in time for Christmas. We initially were going to raffle off the items on December 5th, but due to lack of interest we extended the raffle to December 18th.

Please Send any and all “Donations” to the Falmouth Tide Youth Sports Association; NOT RELATED TO THE RAFFLE;, I.E. tax deductible donations. ( Thank You in advance) to TeamPages - Falmouth Tide Youth Sports Association

Raffle Ticket entries please send me the money through PayPal to [email protected] and please specify the raffle you would like to enter with your name and address in the notes section or PM me.

As my Father always says (as did my Grandfather), There but for the Grace of God go I.
