I remember watching this game on TV. One of Bledsoe's greatest performances.

I have this game recorded but half way though the 2nd quarter the tape malfunctions and don't get it back until the middle of the fourth quarter. I do get the that half and overtime which is cool I just wish there was DVR then and i could have gotten a really good recording.

One of my favorite Patriot teams ever. Talk about grinding out wins....Even though Bledsoe was a big story that year, down the stretch the defense was outstanding.

Oh Glory Days! What special times. Pass attempt records in regular season games from 17 years ago. It doesn't get any more special than that now does it?

And who can forget the magical feat of leading the team to one touchdown when spotted the ball at the 40 yard line all while completing almost half the passes he threw during the game.

Too bad were stuck with Brady as our QB, at least we can reminisce about the good ol' days when our QB was lighting the world on fire with his assault on record book for pass attempts and winning 1 out of every 2 games he played.

Slightly pertinent to this thread and this week's opponent but how about Bledsoe and Co. making their comeback in Week 17 against the Giants in 1996 to clinch the division and first round bye? Down 22-0 at halftime and come from behind to win it.

I remember feeling bad that the guy was losing his spot to a young kid. Yeah, we were happy to be winning, but Bledsoe was the one who led us out of mediocrity. By this point everyone knew Brady had the job, and Bledsoe would most likely be leaving at the end of the year. To see Brady go down, then have old Bledsoe come in and lead us to victory one last time is one of my favorite memories as a Patriots fan.

Wow Bledsoe doesn't have a high release at all. It's almost Vince Young sidearm like. I don't remember him throwing like that but man he could sling it like a bullet regardless.

oh man, what a turn of events from halftime to that end of the game. it was freezing that day and it was totally didn't matter that I got soaked by dudes throwing their beers high in the sky for that come from behind win. Speaking of behinds were thinking about leaving at halftime cuz out butts were freezing on those cold metal bleachers.
