Well, his rookie year was awful, and I already heard a few of the ESPN talking heads using the word. I hope they have to eat them.

I thought this was going to say "Maroney is already our best RB". If it had said that, I wouldn't have disagreed.

But, yes, it would be nuts to think Smith is done already.

This happens far too often with the analysts. They forget how hard it is to adjust to the NFL, with all its complexities and increased physical demands, and write people off after one season. It's a good job they aren't coaching or no rookie would make it past TC.
