OT: Dolphins injuries

Hearing they looked like dog **** today in the joint practice with detroit

A) I never would have taken Tua to begin with, because of the risks.... and now, B) now that they have him, they should force him to retire. His family doesn't seem like they understand how grave a danger Tua is in with all these severe concussions mounting up.

BUT if I am forced to play Tua, play him like you would a RB. Become a run-heavy team like the Eagles, limiting Tua's exposure to hard hits.

He keeps winning, people don't like him, call his arm weak.
He keeps fkn winning.
Y'all bash him, but he knows how to win.
Bash him all you want, the kid wins.

The kid wins what? Tua has never won a playoff game, so what does he win? Games against the Pats over the last few atrocios years? So, who cares?

Get real, he wins most of his games
They lose when he doesn't play.
You don't have to like/Respect him, but he tends to win.

His record speaks for itself, and I'm not a fan.
Keep bashing him, he keeps laughing.

He's 38-24 as a starter and has only won more than 10 games in a season once, and went 6-5 before going out last year.

Hard to get a solid read on Tua. His NFL career has been pretty weird up to this point. 2023 was insane at the start but their wheels fell tf off. They scored 70 that year!

I don't bash him. But he has won nothing. He wins some regular season games, so who cares? I would much rather have Maye and the hope of a SB run than Tua and his "never won a playoff game" winning of most of his games.

Get real. A regular season winner? What is that? A new category? He keeps laughing? LOL

Several media said Fins pathetic showing was " the most lopsided joint practice of all time".
Lions are good but not that good.
Fishies are probably  that bad.

I'm not going though all his games, but a quick search had Dolphins counting him 7-17 vs playoff teams. One fan said 1-16. It's all over the place. His record is probably even worse overall if you factor in teams that are .500 and above.

The theme I've seen from him and McDaniel are that they beat up on bad teams, but fold like a lawn chair when they play any competent defenses. When teams stop their initial attack, they run out of tricks. Bill slowed them down and made them earn points the last few years, but Bill's teams had no talent to compete where they eventually broke down. We're going to see the Pats give teams a lot of resistance this season.

13 of his 40 wins were versus NE and Jets.

Apparently you can't understand anything.
How many times have WE Beat him?
I keep seeing "Noodle arm "and other nonsense.
He throws lasers, and whips our *** EVERY YEAR since he's been a pro QB.
Go ahead, make fun again, but he's never lost to us.
It is what it is, excuses are for losers.

That is fine but not what you said.

You said he "keeps fkn winning". I said keeps winning what, and you said keeps winning regular season games. True, but who cares?

Now you say Tua keeps beating the Pats. That is also true but who cares?

Tua has never won a playoff game. That is not a "winner" to me.

They weren’t winning OUR division anyway…

Vrabes will tell his guys to blast the **** out of the kid and see if he can take it. Tua and their perpetually ****ty OL vs M.Williams, Barmore, White and Landry or Chaisson.
I hope not. We already know Tua is neurologically fragile. I don’t want to see any more games prematurely ended by an ambulance on the field picking up a seizing player. It’s bad for business.

There's no sense in taking it "easy" on a guy just because he is injury-prone. That's what you SHOULD be targeting...

Disagree. There is no reason to try to cripple a guy for life. That’s what you’re doing when you try to target a neurological vulnerability.

It’s bad for the game. The rules are designed to minimize neurological trauma. If you go targeting a player in attempts to cause that you’ll be rightly suspended.

And not “blasting the **** out of the kid” doesn’t mean taking it easy on him. It means not brutalizing him, not taking the extra shots, not trying to injure.

Remember, we have a QB who forgets to slide and has a concussion history. Trying to cause concussions is a dirty game we should want to avoid. It cuts both ways.

Then he should retire. Instead he signed a big contract. He and the Dolphins and the NFL are all complicit.

It would be a fireable offense to NOT target Tua and knock him out of the game. That's why they wear pads and helmets and get paid checks with all those zeros on them.

I agree he should retire.

Targeting him should be a fireable offense, because it will result in league sanctions against the team and coaches responsible.

The problem is saying “targeting” because that implies singling him out for tactics beyond those used normally. Normally players should play to the limit of what the rules allow. So targeting means going beyond what’s allowed by the rules.

Doing that in an attempt to injure a player should result in suspension and other sanctions. Any coach who directs players to do that should be fired for acting against team interests.

There’s a difference between “targeting” like a Bountygate situation, and “targeting” as in drawing up a game plan that sends a lot of pressure at a guy who is weak to that. They’re not trying to hurt him specifically but that is the weakness of the offense (the QB himself and their bad OL), you’re stupid not to target your opponent’s weakness.

It's in the team's interest to knock out the opposing starting QB.
