OT: DJ Swearinger cut by the Texans

Well now that this turned out to be true that the Texans were trying to get rid of him. Wonder if Joseph is next

Harmon is a better safety than Swearinger/Elam.

How scary is that? Half the Pats fans hate Harmon and he is better than two of the safeties that most people on this board would have rather the Pats' drafted.

And people here would have given the Pats a really good grade right after the draft if they drafted Swearinger over Harmon.

I guess drafting Tavon Wilson the year before ended up being a blessing or the Pats might have been stuck with Swearinger than having Collins.

Assuming, of course, that the Pats had a second-round grade on Swearinger in the first place.

Swearinger is awful. Thus why he is being released after two seasons and being so young. Lost cause

Yes, typically when a second round draft pick is cut after two years, he is a lost cause.

Sign the beast!

Literally....

He could be our own Bernard Pollard.
Agreed....Opinion only but I feel he is a victim of a bad team match and bad coaching...only two years after being predicted as an ALL PRO....talent dose not disappear in two years....more like it was not utilized properly by coaching.......I also see his predicted skill set as fitting the new defensive scheme in NE's backfield...

I actually know little about him, saw a few games but don't remember anything bad or good, and of course he is famous for retiring Dustin Keller with that dirty tackle.

Does anyone else find it odd that the scrawl on NFLN says "Patriots to release Kyle Harrington" and says "Texans inform D.J. Swearing he will no longer be a part of their team?"

Swearinger is a hitter who could not cover your grandma. His biggest problem is he never knew who to hit or when to hit them. He was totally lost. And I can agree that he had terrible coaching under Phillips (Denver will soon learn this) but last year RAC was the coach and he made no improvement.
