OT: Device helps prevent Concussions; Pats think so

An interesting read about a device the Patriots use that prevents concussions..if they could only find something for leg injuries...

The article says the Pats reported no concussions last year but didn't Asante Samuel suffer one late in the season (might even have been the Jacksonville game. ) I recall he dropped the ball and the officials had to make some kind of ruling on whether it was a fumble.

I hope the mouthpiece is helpful but I don't think using the injuries the Pats actually report will back up his theory.

I believe Asante suffered a "head" injury. Pats injury reports don't get much more specific than that.

I only skimmed the article linked above, so it might be the same, but I remember we talked a little about this ESPN story a while back on the same subject. Fascinating stuff.
