OT: Denver @ Indy

There are some seriously scary people on this site completely devoid of common sense and logic.

I don't see what's so wrong about wanting it both ways. Even if the Broncos lose to Indy, one of the top two spots will come down to our game with Denver due to head-to-head being the first tie-breaker.

One other reason that I would like to see Indy lose (besides the karma stuff) is that this could be the year that I get my wish and some team wins a playoff spot with a 6-10 record while another, hopefully Pitt or the Jets, gets to sit at home with a 10-6 record or better.

I don't see how indy can win this game. We will see.

Betting analyst R.J. Bell of Pregame.com calculated the chances of New England and Denver both winning their next three games (straight up, no point spread) and projected there was a 33 percent chance that they would both be undefeated when they meet on Nov. 29

Would be epic!

Ok, well having it "both ways" means this. If the Pats have to play the Broncos in the AFCCG in Denver (because they were 1 game up on us) and the Pats lose (god forbid) than I guess those posters that wanted Denver to win that game earlier in the season will have no reason to complain because you have to take it both ways if you are gonna have it both ways.

Me personally? I want the absolute smoothest road for the Pats to win a SB because its hard to win a SB and I dont let silly personal feelings and agendas get in the way of Bradys 5th ring.

In the end regardless of who wins I think the Denver/Pats game decides home field. I wouldn't look forward to NE going to Denver in the Playoffs but I think they could win. I don't want an easy road to the SB, I prefer a battle tested team.

I prefer HFA
I prefer a HEALTHY team
Nobody gave this team a thing. They are batteling every game, using the whole game to get better and showing that they can play speed, finesse or smash mouth on a moments notice.

I hate Indy. Having said that, what is good for the Patriots is always the number one priority. Denver needs to lose because we need HFA and Denver stands in the way of that. I don't want it to come down to the game on the 29th of November to decide that ! From now on wards I have to root against Denver and Cincy no matter whom their opponents are !

The only reason I would pull for Denver is perhaps if they had identical records. Even then Peyton Manning winning anything would drive me more insane than anything the colts would do.

Then again I would rather face Manning in his building during the playoffs VS colts in theirs because of the potential weather factor in Denver being in our favor.

Denver is objectively a tough place to play literally on a biological level. You are completely wrong with thinking it would be better to play there than Indy.

Yes, you are correct. The point I was trying to make is that given TB is a superior bad weather QB and Manning is known for not playing well in bad weather. If we were to play in Denver in bad weather, I feel that we would have an advantage in bad weather VS no real advantage in a dome against a team that was equally as good.

That point is different than just proclaiming that I would rather play in Denver VS in Indy with all things being equal -which is not what I was saying.

Playing in Denver during the playoffs isn't a big deal, rarely do we have weather that would be considered game changing,I can't even remember one in the last 15 years. I am sure some exist but in January here it could snow or be 60 degrees. we don't see a lot of huge snowstorms in January ever. Weather in NE is much worse than here...and it don't rain much here.

I dont worry about Denver game, their def is good but can u remember last year pats game against them, and Colts abused them in playoff.

I dunno about you guys but a tie would screw over both teams slightly, wouldn't it?

After the hit the Pats have taken since a week before the SB was played last year, I would never refer to the negative response by Pats fans to the Indiots as silly.

No matter what happens this week in Indy, the Pats will still need to win in Denver.

I hope you are right. I was at the Pats Denver game last year and the Pats dominated. I think the times we were eliminated in the playoffs and it was usually against a tough physical defense.

-In 2010, the Jets defense beat us after we beat them by 40 points a month earlier. Worse game I've been to at Gillette.
-I'll skip 2011
-2012- Ravens
-2013- playing @denver. I think this was a case that Denver was just a better team. When you have Slater, Collie, and Mulligan as your weapons on 3rd down, it won't end well. The fact this team made it to the AFC championship is amazing.

I'm worried about this Denver team. I think it's Peyton's best team he has had surrounding him in Denver. That 2013 team was stacked offensively but they couldn't stop anybody. I'd rather have a good defense than a dominating offense. I realize Peyton has looked terrible, but I think their defense will keep them in any home game so I'm hoping they won't get homefield.

I do think Denver would get smoked in NE, but @Denver makes me nervous even though Pats are a better team. I think Denver game vs Colts will be a one score game. Really hoping for a Colts upset even though I despise that organization. I want the road to the Super Bowl to go through NE and selfishly I want to attend my 5th AFC championship. When my family got season tickets, I was hoping to go to one AFC championship in my lifetime. What a run the Pats have been on since 2000! Crazy

I couldn't see how GB would lose against Denver. I thought there was no chance. Any given Sunday I guess.

Yeah, I've learned no game is ever a sure thing in the NFL. That playoff game vs the jets game in 2010 I thought was a lock considering we beat them by over 40 a couple weeks before the game.

Rodgers hasn't beat a team with a winning record on the road since December 2012. Winning on the road in general is tough. Since 2012, Pats were 1 or 2 games above 500 on the road going into this season. This season I've been impressed with their road record so far. Hope it continues
