Great career, great human being. Glad he was part of our winning a Super Bowl, sucks he was part of our losing a Super Bowl.

Good for him. Always good to see someone walk away on their terms. Seemed to get better as the years went on. Too bad he couldn’t of ended his career in NE. May have been a 3peat if he had. But hey, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. Congrats on a very solid career.

It's amazing how many guys are retiring that have about half of Bradys career. Granted his role was way more violent than anything Brady does but still. What is the average career for an NFLer? I think Brady is the last of his rookie class.

Nice guy for his off-field efforts. Thanks for the one year. Not much more to be said past that in the grand scheme of things.

Not a fan anymore after the Philly experience. Hopefully that defense is less effective without him.

I'm left wondering how much BB actually wanted him back in his assigned role and what difference that might have made, especially in the Super Bowl vs. Philly.

Those who chide Long as a social justice warrior are being unfair to him. He has selflessly given his time and resources to support humanitarian causes.

I liked Long, but did not like the way he left the Patriots.. something about how he did not like the way he was used..

He was a tad verbose and loved the face time of local and national media..

Building wells so 200,000 people can have clean water in Africa or donating 3/4 of your salary for education in your home town isn't SJW stuff, it's humanitarian stuff and I look forward to him doing more of it....
No different than JJ Watt raising tens of millions for hurricane relief in Houston....

It's not worth making this argument when the people who don't like Long are among the most disingenuous posters here.

Pretty sad to see empathy and humility as traits of a person worthy of being ridiculed.

From my seat the world could use more people like Chris Long.

    Dudebro culture is the worst.

    Enjoy your retirement Chris.
