Several Chargers players complained that the Titans used dirty tactics in knocking linebacker Shawne Merriman and nose tackle Jamal Williams out of the game. I didn't see the alleged incident but the Chargers said right tackle David Stewart and Kevin Mawae went high-low on Merriman as retribution for briefly knocking Titans quarterback Vince Young out of the game in the first half. I did see that play, and there really wasn't much to it.

I am shocked...SHOCKED...at two things here:

1) allegations of dirty play by the squeaky-clean Titans
2) the Chargers complaining

Young knocked HIMSELF outa the game, walked right into Merriman who did not 'hit' Young.

This is true. Young just ran right into him and Merriman put his hands up to brace himself.

Yup, I remember last year's Pats game against "squeaky clean competition committee member" Jeff Fisher's Titans.

They have quite the rap sheet by now.

You forgot a third thing: That Mawae was involved.

Regards,
Chris

Yeah, Merriman did nothing wrong at all on the Young play.
