OT: Belichick Declined to Coach Under Kyle Shanahan

Doubtful. He's done coaching imo.
we continue to hear Dallas, but I simply don't see Bill and Jerry having the same mind set to work together, assuming Bill wants to run things the way he did here.

BB does not want the SF HC job. Calls for Shanahans replacement will be off the scale if they fail to get the Lombardi this season as time runs out.

BB wants an NFC HC job on the other coast near his hacienda in Nantucket and for a family he is familiar with and fond of. Solid, loyal, non meddling ownership is a must have for NFL HC success. Furthermore, BB is a student and disciple of NFL history.

NFCE looks likely. Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins in that order.

Kyle: "Hey Bill, wanna trade me Brady?"
Bill: "Get the **** outta here"

--

Kyle: "Hey Bill, will you trade me your 1st rounder for Jimmy G?"
Bill: "Are you high?"

--

Kyle: "Hey Bill, you wanna come work for me?"
Bill: "Not in your dreams, squirt"

I cant see Bill getting total control in Dallas or Philly. Washington just gave Peters and Quinn 5 year deals, right?

a lot of us thought things would end differently than they did and look what happened....who the hell knows what will happen really. although i can see some team desperate to get over that hump and taking a chance with him....

Maybe but at his age he's set in his ways as we all know. He isn't just a coaching hire he's a culture change.

Yeah, he only likes the same kind type of woman, too. Definitely set in his ways. Nice gloves, Bill.

Insult aside; it takes one as narsystic as Shanahan to propose such a thing and to expect that it would actually work. If Bill agreed, the smallest blip and people would be calling for his head so Bill could take over.

No HC in their right mind would even entertain it.

I believe that p8 is referring to the teams in the NFCE who are Most Likely to hire Bill after firing their own HC...
Why would NY fire Daboll after winning the NFCE and making the postseason?

The first slump and the bay area media/fans would be screaming for Bill to be HC.

Make no mistake though. If Bill is HC of the Niners back in February, they have a 6th Lombardi trophy today. I'd go further and say they win in a blowout.

As long as he’s not given the GM job, as long as there is a GM in place already, he’d do a good job as head coach.
