Curious as to your thoughts as to whether it's worth the $60/year.

I was twice for a month each time.

I like reading training camp reports and Howe was pretty good, but there was nothing else.

I think Boston Sports Journal is better.

Are you actually talking about The Atlantic, or did you mean The Athletic? Those are very different things

Meant the Athletic.. stayed up way too late last night.. err.. this morning.. Thanks for the catch..

Corrected..

Definitely don’t pay $60 for the first year, because there are always discounts. I did the 76% off ($14.40) Fourth of July sale, and I don’t see myself renewing at full price next year.

I’d highly recommend the Atlantic. Howe & Underhill provide great Pats content. I swear they pay these guys by the word, because they provide a ton of content.

I'll have to watch for those, I guess... Unless someone hooks me up..

I have it and I love it. They have beat writers for pretty much all professional and college teams. They have great Pats coverage but also for the rest of my teams: Cards baseball, Hawks basketball, Georgia Tech etc.

Just the opposite for me. I subscribe to the BSJ and Athletic, and the writing in the Athletic is much richer, more varied, and enjoyable.
With the Athletic, you get to pick the teams, college and pro, that you are following, and just get that news, if you want. But the stuff about other teams is pretty entertaining as well.

Same.

Unless you really breath sports in general not sure its worth it.

I listen regularly to The Ringer NFL Show podcast which features Kevin Clark and Robert Mays, both writers for The Athletic. Always great, thoughtful content. My impression is that they have a lot of talented, thoughtful and informed writers.

It's more than worth it. Great podcasts, too.

40% off right now: The Athletic

Another thing to note is that even if you’re not a subscriber, the app lets you see some (3?) full articles each month.

This ...
can't really say I care much for the Athletic.
It's okay ... just not much local content compared to BSJ.
If you're a national sports person (I am not) ... probably worth it.

I broke down and paid also just for the Pats coverage. Good supplement to this board.

I'm also impressed by CNLS; I find myself watching their YouTube shorts regularly, and the writings not bad either.

That's a good point.

The Athletic looked like it was better for complete sports coverage than BSJ.

I was only interested in Patriots.
