Sorry to post this in the main forum but I don't think the other forums get all the visitors.

So I start at Google on the 23rd of this month and was wondering if there was anybody else at Patsfans who works there so I can pick their brain, we can do a PM to keep it private. Being in technology and making it through the Google hiring process is like being a student and getting your acceptance letter to Harvard (or Stanford since everything in the valley is about Stanford). So I'm more than a little excited. I'll still be in MA working out of the Cambridge office.

That’s cool. Congratulations!

Congrats, man. That’s awesome.

Happy for you, Ever! That's a pretty exciting company to work for. I know they have a huge presence in NYC and are a big part of "Silicon Alley" there.

.

Congrats, my neighbor works for them in North Carolina at their data center in lenoir

Can you get me a job

I turned down an offer from Google and work with a bunch of Xooglers who told me all their least favorite parts, if that helps. Google is also a gigantic company now with about 100k employees so you should be able to find answers by, errr ummm, googling your questions. It’s good to form your own opinions though.

Do you get to ride a unicycle in your office? My company WANTS to be google. Just got back from DevOps training lol.

Damn, we got some some smart posters in here. I'm not surprised. I wonder what the cumulative IQ of Jet Nation is.

I expect a certain Boston media person may contact you for Google usage advice.

Speaking of “Burn”, I just spent a couple of weeks camping in the desert with friends including some googlers, at Burning Man. Couldn’t tell them apart from the rest of us if you didn’t already know, except maybe the couple that spent a lot of time coding lights and sound for our project. And even they helped with building and installation. Great folks. Here’s a look at some of their work:

Congrats brother!

That’s great, have fun! You’ll be right next to the Broad institute which my company collaborates with. Wish I worked with more Pats fans...
