Three plays:

1. Edelman's 90-yard maybe-TD.

2. Bolden's TD pass drop.

3. Gostkowski's miss.

With everything else that went wrong yesterday, if those three plays go the other way, that's 17 points.

And that doesn't count having a rookie QB go down on his own terms without fumbling, as he hopefully would with more experience. That's another potential 3.

The most error-filled game I can recall in a long time... mistakes in coaching, offense, defense, and special teams... a game painful to watch for a Pats fan... and still they're 3 plays away from winning.

Now, if you disagree, fine. Just don't shoot me...

Also only 2 drives went longer than 2m:30s, which meant defense wasn't getting much of a rest and still only gave up 1 TD which was the opening drive when the bills only had to go like 55 yards.

Plus, Brisket under heavy pressure throws zero picks and hangs in the pocket with mortar fragments flying all around. Damn good for a rook who's out of the frying pan and into the fire all day.

This is a good point. Shows how small the margin for error is in the NFL. A clean block, a caught pass, and a made kick turn the game around. It's also why I'm still confident that Brissett can be a good quarterback if he can just place the ball slightly better. Change two plays and he has over 300 yards and two touchdowns in the game, with a 65% completion rate. Pretty darn solid.

I know I was all doom-and-gloom about losing to Buffalo (mostly because I just had a terrible feeling that the team would come out flat, and I hate when that happens), but now that Brady is back, I have nothing but excitement about the rest of the season. We're on to Cleveland!
