I haven't followed Hard Knocks this year. What's going on with Hagemann?

He's a lazy and unmotivated soft blob of crap thus far.

He simply has no work ethic or motor, Bryan Cox has had to ride his ass all camp and pre-season to get anything out of him. It really shows how the measureables only take a player so far, the rest comes down to who they are and how bad they really want it. You see the guys who really get it and are going to work as hard as they have to become great players and you see the guys who just kind of coast and **** around, and you also hear them talking about their careers and how theey have approached it over the years. therre are guys who aree just so talented that they don't have to work as hard and are still great, but by and large most oof these guys are of similar athletic ability and the difference is in their work ethic, toughness, and football IQ/instincts, and 3 cone drills and forty times simply don't measure those factors.

And they apparently released Hughlett too, which suggests that Aiken has a good chance of being re-signed.

On Thursday, the Patriots will re-sign Aiken and White to the 53 man roster. Then, they will cut Reisner and
Thigpen and re-sign Bethel-Thompson, Davis, and Swanson to the practice squad. This is the Belichick
version of musical chairs.

Wonder if every team tweaks their roster as much as the Patriots do??

Mr Pumped & Jacked himself did a lot of roster-churning in his first couple of years in Seattle;
he still does a lot of it, just not quite as much of it.

Reisner - 7 career receptions. Over four seasons.

NFL draft scout stats:
6-2.2 248, 4.90. 15 reps, 7.20 3-cone.
Too slow for a move tight end; too small for a blocking specialist.
This is a rent, not buy, situation. Maybe a weekly rental.
Wish him the best, but I wouldn't expect to see him for long.

I hope not; Reisner sux, and I'm disappointed that Bill settled for him as their PS TE.

It shows the intangibles that are talked about in the draft forums by people like myself.. Stuff that coaches/scouts find out from college position coaches and watching practices on the sly..

Seems like Bill Belichick is kicking the tires on a number of players.

Might as well; there's more than a couple of flat tires in his garage, so Bill shouldn't stop until he finds
a few more good spares.

He was always a boom or bust candidate. Don't jump me, but maybe "daddy" Parcells could have got him going in the short term. I doubt anyone else has the patience for that type of mind games.

It looks like (hopefully) Tyms is the other side of that troubled upbringing coin.

Ra'Shede Hageman's work ethic has long been known to be questionable. It was talking about on this and other forums long before Atlanta drafted him.

The first part of this is about to happen. It will be interesting to see if they also tinker with the practice squad.
A day or so ago, the lockers of the players mentioned were still full.

He is not on the roster for his skills. He will be pumped for information on Minnesota's offense and cut in a week or so. I think those two extra spots will be used all year for intelligence gathering.

It's kinda fun to watch and mentally contrast Hagemann and Prince Shembo. They're at opposite ends of the "drive to succeed" spectrum. Let's just say that I'm left confident that a) Shembo will start in the NFL for a good amount of time, and b) Hagemann will be out of the league within 5 years.
