Sanders is the perfect 5th Safety, behind Harrison - Wilson and Mitchell - Merriweather. He can play both positions, just not at a starter's (for the NEP) level.

Sanders is the 3rd safety. He can play both positions at a starting level, as he did most of last year and all of this year thus far.

Sanders has not been a very good FS. although I agree that he is ahead of Meriweather in the depth charts. He is indeed the #3 safety, and when Harrions comes back, Sanders will be the dime back.

Rodney was out for most of the season, too. The starters were, for most of the year, Hawkins-Sanders.
