Over the years we've seen so many guys like Mac Jones who were excellent college QBs at the college level but overwhelmed by the speed and complexity at the NFL level. Mac Jones works hard and has skills, but he's just overwhelmed. My guess is that he's destined for a career as a coach.
Zappe hasn't seemed like he's added a lot of arm strength this offseason. Some of those throws have been pretty weak. I know he worked a lot on his arm motion throwing around guys, but definitely doesn't look much stronger, which is disappointing.
I will forgive a couple INTs from Zappe personally speaking… He has to get into a groove. He won’t be perfect right out of the gate, especially with Pop out. But hopefully not much more of those.
Depends on the context. I think the film looking at how guys handle adverse situations is a good barometer. Albeit, to your point, a lot of the easy throws those guys get isn't necessarily going to tell us much.
