Re: Added Punter Sepulveda and WR Smith...

Honestly with all the drama over Miller vs. Sauerbrun... I could see the Pats trading their 3rd rounder this year for a 4th and a future 4th.

Then the Pats draft Sepulveda and DeOssie on 2nd day. Don't be surprised if it happens, you heard it here first!

Their third is almost a fourth now... You should probably treat it as an early fourth...

Here's a question, I thought NE already put Chris Henry through two private workouts? How can they also bring him in for a visit? I thought they were allowed to either have one PW & one PV or two of one? Maybe one of the workouts of Chris Henry wasn't private? I know it's been reported they've worked him out twice

Also, Meriweather had two PW's

Meriweather gets second look
Posted by Albert Breer at 1:15 pm

Patriots defensive backs coach Joel Collier will be in Coral Gables, Fla. tomorrow to get another read on Miami safety Brandon Meriweather. Bill Belichick and Scott Pioli already gave him a private workout at the beginning of March, the day after his Pro Day, and this follow-up would show the team is very interested. Collier will work out Meriweather again, something he couldn’t do if the Hurricane was going to go to Gillette Stadium for an in-house visit.

The restrictions are on the 30 visits to Gillette, private workouts/visits on campus or at another facility are at the discretion of the player and his agent.

Hmm, when NE put Meriweather through a second private workout Breer made it seem like that meant they couldn't bring him in for a visit.....

Ah, I see the confusion. Players brought to Gillette are not here to workout. They may undergo medical exams and spend time in the film room and at the chalkboard, but they are primarily here for a meet and greet.

I'm not confused about that part, I know what Private visits are(College MLB). The point was that Breer made it seem like you can't put the same player through two private workouts, and have him come in for a private visit. Almost like a contact limitation, or something. Maybe Breer is the one confused?

[In my worst Germanic professorial accent] Prezisely! Breer he writes the booboo!

So what are the odds we'll be catching your blog from the Combine soon?

LOL! I just wanted to make sure you realized I wasn't confused about that.

As a player going through the combine? I've had a rule since I first started posting on internet message boards, don't give out to much info. If I'm there next year I might blog about it somewhere, but I wouldn't post the links on here.

Good point, protecting one's identity, especially if you are likely to be threatened with lawsuits by special case individuals, is a good policy. Not to mention the next time we disagree I'll want to make sure no 6'4" 250 MLB with chronic weight lifting-itis knows where I live! Good luck with rehab, they truly suck.

Add a visit for OLB Stewart Bradley and OG Robert Turner

Breer
New Mexico OL Rob Turner was at Gillette Stadium today for another one of the team’s 30 allotted in-house visits, with a pair of other now-confirmed guests: Ohio State WR Ted Ginn and Nebraska LB Stewart Bradley.
Breer
Nebraska LB Stewart Bradley was at Gillette Stadium today for a pre-draft visit, one of the 30 the Patriots are allowed by league rules. The Patriots also sent linebackers coach Matt Patricia and regional scout Bob Quinn to conduct a private workout with Bradley on March 20 in Lincoln, Neb., so building interest seems to be there for a player who’s best fit professionally should be as a 3-4 OLB.
