We get it. You hate the pats unis. Is there any reason you need to bring it up in every thread other than you are sick mofo?

Like these uni's too...only thing between Bobby & Phil here are
tan skates, webbing and very, very little English

You know what sucks...all these so called football fans that dont know ****....its crazy how many people cant read or know a rule and see what it means...Im so sick of stupid people....waiting for the meteor to start us all over again....ugh.

Unfortunately I think the stupid folk will survive like ****roaches
I mean, could we at least keep them out of the league front offices??

Guess not

If Jesse James secures the ball to his body he still scores or at worst is down on the 1 yard line.

IMO ... the discussion needs to be on his lapse in judgement - a main rule for a receiver is to secure the ball.

steeler board is in denial...they don't believe the ball hit the ground.

If it was this board there would be many in denial too. The emotions running high and wild statements being made is understandable. Keep in mind under the old rules this is a TD (I prefer the old rules too: control the ball then get two feet down or one knee down). But if my uncle had boobs he'd be my aunt. The rules are the rules and have been this way for a while. You play as the rules are, period.

As far as the Steeler board, I under their frustration. I'd like to think after a day or so some on their board and some in the media will calm down and realize (a) that was the correct ref call, (b) anger at the receiver -- it was his fault [if that would have been DA or cooks making that blunder I'd be pissed at them], (b) why risk that throw when virtually 100% certain you go into OT, then likely have a full chance go score a TD to win [If Brady had done what Big Ben did? I'd be calling Brady out]. NEVER! risk the virtual certainty of OT when you are behind on the scoreboard with only a handful of ticks on the clock. That's the decision of a desperate team or a poor decision making team.

Side note: for Big Ben saying the sideline called it? I have no problem with him saying that. If they made the call they made the call. Nothing wrong with stating that was the process. However, I have a problem if he is not owning to the grossly poor choice to make that pass. Just because the sideline calls a play does not mean he is locked into throwing it to the primary. The only pass there to make is a corner fade (like Brady to Gronk on the two point conversion) or the 8' high out to the pylon throw to their tallest receiver (either he catches it and goes out of bounds or it is incomplete). Otherwise no excuse whatsoever for Ben making that throw, just throw it 4' above the receiver and defenders out the back f the EZ, then kick the FG and go into OT. And I say that as someone who thought, other than that play, Ben played a hell of a good game against a Patriot D that is not necessarily easy to sustain drives against through the air, lost his best target, and our D was roughing him up at times pretty damn good(that is on top of that damn fine performance Ben had against the stout Raven D and multiple last minute critical drives recently)

Usual post game media stuff... Why didn't they cover Gronkowski, refs won it for the pats, etc...

Ball clearly on the ground trapped by his chest. Left hand rolled off the ball and right hand not under it.

Disagreed, because I think he was thinking clock it, FG and win it in OT

No you read it wrong. He's saying you have one more play to try and win it.

Been following sports for 55 years...

There have been dozens of teams which, for various reasons including behavior, poor sportsmanship, unworthiness and classlessness, ownership, management and fan base have been "despicable"

The New England Patriots are not, nor have they ever been, in that category.

Gronk is why teams can't do Cover 1 Robber when he plays. He's such a ridiculous mismatch in man coverage.

Regards,
Chris
