Nope, should have been grounding in the end zone. Throwing it "well out of bounds" between the tackle box is specifically listed as an example of grounding.
This game has a 2012 seattle feel to it. controlled the game but left points on the field, some BS calls let them hang in late and they won on some fluky plays late. PLEASE don't let this one get away
