They have a lot of former first round picks on the defense.

Gilmore
Hightower
Shelton
McCourty
Brown
Clayborn

I think it is more of a coaching issue.

Shelton, Clayborn and Brown are mediocre at best players. Hightower and McCourty look like they're in decline.

Patterson and Dorsett are 1st round players too and total garbage as WR

Stfu.

I admit we have issues but get a grip and lets see how we finish this game.

Not impressed by our line play so far this year on defense. Doesn't seem like we're winning matchups.

Aside from Gilmore is there a single defensive starter playing at even an above average level at this point?

I am sorry BB but I would have dressed Gordon regardless.

The players obviously don’t seem to care, so why should I?

Can't allow fast starts like this because you give the other team confidence.

Yes, they suck in an objective sense, but they're also mentally soft. Bad. Really bad.

The other team has confidence because they are playing our defense. This offense is better than the one we faced last week.

It’s definitely a coaching issue. Bortles has a career game against us, does squat this week. Stafford has had a shaky first 2 games and now looks like a HOFer.

Well if we can get close, I think Detroit will crap it's pants

Missed him in the backfield.

So the scheme was ok but the execution was not?
(I do not have a football background so I will not pretend to be an analyst).

Caeserio(sp?) might be the GM but Bill is picking all the groceries himself. This team has holes all over it. This is on him.

Patriots have trouble scoring in the first quarter of Super Bowls.

This is Detroit's.

Regards,
Chris

At this point, they are just playing for paychecks and nothing extra. Not seen a BB team come out like this. I was expecting the first game to be like this after the Superbowl. Oh well.. still early but how is this D fixable? It is so easy for other QBs.
I keep hearing about lack of weapons for offense, but did the Jaguars have that many weapons? I mean they were able to just score a total of 6 today. 6 points.

I guess what I don’t get is that this is shades of last years defense. The offense was able to overcome it mostly.

So why no attention to getting better talent? It’s baffling to me
