One area that stands out is how the Patriots created a spot for safety Obi Melifonwu on the game-day 46-man roster. TE Travis Kelce is a tough matchup, and Melifonwu gives them another option along with Patrick Chung and Co.

With Danny Shelton inactive, the Patriots have just two big DTs on the 46-man game-day roster. This is an indication they plan to be in a lot of nickel/dime packages (and possibly even 7 DBs), with an emphasis on getting more speed on the field.
