Again shows that there is on the one hand the opinion of fans and then on the other the opinion of coaches and GMs.

So are the Patriots actually going to do anything besides stand by and let all the other teams get better?

lol, free agency hasn't even started yet

The Pats have already traded for a solid nose tackle, which is a great first step towards addressing some areas of need.

This $$ is stupid. Albert Wilson gets 8 per year? Please BB sign Danny (a much better player) to a cheaper contract.

If Danny wants he can definitely get some coin in this market. He’s arguably one of the 3 best WRs remaining in FA.

No.

The Pats are going to stand by and watch while all the other teams spend a metric crap-tonne of cap space trying to get better, then swoop in and scoop up the much cheaper, underrated guys who actually will make them better.

SOP.
In other years I might agree with you. This year the top three offensive tackles
are Patriots. If they sit around too long, the cupboard will be bare.

They are waiting to hear back from those top players what their respective FA offers were and then they will inform them if they want to match that offer or not. You will have to be patient as anybody else.

Seems likely to me that most agents for Pats' UFAs give the Pats a sort of "right of first refusal" on any offers their clients get, so there's probably no need for the Pats to be pre-emptive.

16 mila year for SAMMY WATKINS>?!

haha wowww....

Thats a joke.. Sammy Watkins production has been average since being in the league, not to mention he's had a slew of injury problems..

$16m/year for that guy? hahaha, say goodbye to Brandin Cooks next year

You are assuming that these players will give the Patriots a chance to match
the offers.
