Time will tell if this was a wise decision.

Another one that served us very well. Both great guys and should serve the Commanders well. Tough to see some of the last vestiges go. Here's to hoping Bentley bounces back and still has a good role. And of course Cardona.

is hawkins camp fodder or are we keeping the same safety group for this year ( with a draft pick perhaps)?

???

If Vrabel thought that he would fit into our Defense, we would have re-signed him.
Not to mention Jones' age and the fact that Vrabel needs to see if a young CB already on the roster (Marcus Jones, Alex Austin, etc.) can be their go to Slot CB. And possibly if they get a CB somewhere in the Draft. Keeping J. Jones for another year or two would've ******ed them from finding out if the aforementioned already on the roster CB's can do the job. Or perhaps that AND Vrabel just didn't see J. Jones as fit for what he wants to do on Defense (and that's money that could be used elsewhere). He served us well and I wish him the best, but I was hoping that they wouldn't retain him. He'd be an asset to a team that is already a contender, or could emerge as one this season.

There are still lots of unsigned OL's in the original top 100 free agents.

Just curious folks; Am I the only one that's looked ahead to the 2026 Draft to see what the Top LT, RT, and WR prospects look like? Depending upon arm length (for OT's which have yet to be stated), it looks like an interesting OT Class (both LT and RT).

A year ago people were excited about the possibility of Campbell or Banks.

Agree, but it’s probably pretty close.
All of the draft evaluations I have seen does not have it close. They all think Hunter is a better prospect. Why do you think it is close?
