Official 2025 Mock Draft Game (Discussion ONLY) Thread

It's like Maple Syrup....

It's like Maple Syrup....
No ****.

We downsized the evaporator this year, and went from one that boiled maybe a 100 gallons an hour down to one that's rated for 15. Ran the thing two days, yet to bottle any syrup.

Ok. That was work I hope I didn’t double up on anyone already picked.

If the Chiefs do take the OT I wanted for us 2 years in a row I'll lose it lol
We've been waiting, make the pick and "get it right."

So do we just want to call it after the 2 Pats picks?

Sorry internet went wonky today. Working off my cellphone now. Will try to get pick in soon.
I put it up for grabs by tomorrow morning so you have 12 hours lol

The PICK is IN!

On top of bad internet. My main challenge was figuring out who to take because the other GMs scooped up the best DTs and DBs before my pick.

I really wanted to go DT or DB but had to go best value and TE turned out to be a big need with Goedert on last year of his deal.

Eagles did sign a couple of free agent depth pieces on 1 year deals but Arroyo has the tantalizing athleticism to eventually become their #1 TE if this pick pans out.

I believe Arizona Cardinals GM has 1st pick of the 3rd round.

So for the Patriots 3rd round picks I'll post 2 polls. The first to choose which position to pick. Then a second poll will determine which from that position we end up selecting. I'll give each at least 24 hours.

This is where I am going to differ with "all y'all". We could have gone Campbell R1, R2 Jayden Higgins or Isiah Bond and then Tate Ratledge R3. I certainly don't want a smurf wideout here in R3.

The good news is the line is fixed. I think we could have fixed it with Ratledge now.

I'm gonna throw out some candidates for the Patriots. I think they need to get Drake Maye some weapons now that his OL is set. (The defense is already well stacked after free agency.)

I'm looking at the draft board:

TE Harold Fannin Jr. is still here.
I think he's a good value in round 3. 6'3, 240, great route runner. 4.7 40 speed for a TE is decent.
Led the nation with 117 receptions, 1555 yards, 10 TDs as a junior. What's not to like?

WR Jalen Royals is also here.
1080 receiving yards with 15 TDs. Dude gets in the endzone!
He's got some big play ability as a deep threat, route running, quickness, decent size at 6' 210 lbs.

RB Treveyon Henderson is here.
Dude is a good runner and pass protector. Pretty fast with a 4.43 40. Can catch passes.
Over 1,000 yards rushing 10 TDs added 280 receiving with a long catch of 75.
He can be that versatile weapon out of the backfield to take pressure off Maye.

So imo there is some pretty good talent here in the early 3rd that some might have projected to go in the 2nd. I think just go offense with this pick, doesn't have to be a particular position. Who's your binky type of vote.

I like the idea of Savion Williams here, but I hate the Pats track record with a developmental type guy. I am going to have to hold my nose at some point and hope for the best that the New Regime isn't The Bill Belichick Way.

I like his size speed combo at 6'4 with a 4.48 timed 40. I think I would like to see a little bit more production and polish from an early round 3 choice.

If he's around in round 4 or 5 could be a good develop and hope he pans out prospect.

But yeah feel free to put out more names. Who knows, someone might take him if the Patriots forum vote doesn't go to him in round 3.

Henderson and Royals are good value here.

On Royals, he scored 15 TDs in 2023 which is comfortably the most amongst 2025 WRs. Tet and Tez Johnson were next on 10 each. And in 2024, before his injury, he was averaging over 100 yards per game. I really like Royals but I do think you can find a similar player later in Kyle Williams.

The prospects I'd be targeting in the 3rd:

Josaiah Stewart
Kyle Kennard
Jack Sawyer
Treveyon Henderson
Dylan Sampson
Mason Taylor
Kevin Winston Jr
Jaylin Noel
Andrew Mukuba
