Some people like bigger D.they added quit a few D-Linemen.
Seriously? You are not getting Hebert in any scenario for less than multiple firsts.
Teams are definitely gonna try to low ball the Bears for Fields; I have no doubt about that. Why are you so sure they NEED a buyer?
They draft Williams, who might be amazing, but needs a lot of work. They run with Fields at least to the trade deadline, when a contending team might have an injury. It's not like they signed a really good vet QB, not a Brady-Winston situation, by any means.
I wouldn't move Fields, who's relatively cheap, while I'm trying to prepare a rookie QB. If Fields keeps improving and goes out there next year and lights it up, Chicago will get a haul for him at the trade deadline. Of if not that, they'll get a 3rd round comp pick when he signs elsewhere the following year for a boatload of cash.
Why in the world would you off-load those possibilities for a worthless 6th rounder?
sounds like state income taxes in Mass vs. Florida will be our downfall for Ridley.

Having said that, there’s ZERO chance the Bears keep Fields if they draft a QB #1 overall. Fields value is not going to go up by sitting the bench; in fact the exact opposite is true.
The Bears are screwed if they don’t trade Fields yesterday. His value will only decrease as we draw closer to the draft and take a total nose dive if they wait to after the draft.
Of course this discussion is null and void if they don’t draft a QB.
And it's realllllllllly overblown on this board. The only people who think there's a difference between 20m and 21m are people who have never made a lot of money.NFL really needs to do something about this.
It’s really not fair.

Contracts at that level are about EGO, not practicality.
LA teams having trouble getting players?
Reason Ridley deal hasn’t happened yet is because of trade details when Atlanta sent him to the Jags. If the Jags would have signed Ridley before the new league year (today) they’d owe a 2nd round pick to Atlanta. After today it becomes a 3rd.I agree but maybe he changes his mind.
Of only we had a franchise QB to convince him.
Interesting
It was in January, but he has repeatedly said he wants to stay in Jacksonville. He's 10000% not coming to New England to play for a lesser QB and a rebuilding team. That was a quote after the last game of the season. Lots of impending free agents say things like that at the end of the season. It’s not a quote from March.
Loved JG ever since he got drafted. Two things bring pause : he wasn’t able to finish the 4 games when Brady was out to start the year + he’s always injured.
