It's more about how their opponents do over the rest of the year. Right now the difference is less than one win.

This group just isn't for losing which tells me we're not a million miles away from being a 10 win team. A QB room of The Zapp, Daniels/Nix/Whoever + a vet (Jacoby?) should get us back on track. We have more than enough cap room to strengthen where we need to strengthen.

I watch football to be entertained, and entertained I was. Our scrub kicker needed that more than anyone lol.

Onto Zappe. He started the game as bad as it gets and didn't snowball. He doesn't have the physical traits you want but he has "it". He is producing while having a bad offense around him with no running game to rely on. Even produced with Patricia. Can't imagine too many rookies faring better. Maybe we still get a new shiny qb next year but Zappe keeps making a case for himself. Also, I never want to see a player get the leash Mac was given ever again. 1 fumble and to the doghouse forever for most guys but Mac was allowed 2 years of ineptitude.

Arizona has no choice, but to take anyone but a QB due to Murray’s $52M cap hit.

Commando’s will take a QB. I feel sorry for that QB.

What an awful trade by Carolina to trade all that, yet still end up with the #1 pick that goes to Chicago.

Zappe is clearly motivated, as are his team mates. Jobs are on the line. I was a Mac backer but he's broken and needs a new home.

If Zappe does start next season (as bridge or whatever) then it will be interesting to see how he deals with the expectation of a team on 0 and 0 with play-off aspirations, instead of one seemingly on the tank.

I was on the road so had to listen to the game on Sirius XM. The NFL channel had the Broncos feed, and they spent the entire game talking like they were seeing vintage Patriots. Tremendous respect for Belichick, statements like ”no team in the NFL is better at halftime adjustments“, etc.

very refreshing to hear such positive comments especially from the opponent’s broadcast team.

That’s funny….because it seems like we rarely made good halftime adjustments all season…and were up 16 points and managed to piss it away….but glad that they pulled it out at the end . Pros and a lot of cons….but the team needed this for some pride ….have to be tired of losing and being embarrassed

Interesting to think at one point, Vinatieri was a 70% FG kicker during his rookie year. I mean it's not as bad as Ryland's 64% leading up to that winning kick, but who knows where this kid goes after this.

Yeah that was until week 5 and was, UDFA. But GOAT.

It’s crazy around here. We can’t win a game and be happy about it, we can’t lose a game and be happy about it. It is what it is. All I know is they are going to still get a good player whether it be Alt, Fashanu, Nabers, Daniels, Latu, Odonze etc. whatever happens, happens, fans have no control over it.

Personally I'm delirious with joy. And if you looked at the reaction of the players so were they. You would have thought they just made the playoffs.

Normally I might have been a bit peeved that they blew the 16 point lead but that made the win even better. It was a crushing blow to the Broncos AND the Tankheads here that were rooting for the Pats to lose. Stick that win where the sun don't shine fellas.

All the stats I’ve read put Zappe at 6’1….never seen 5’11….but either way he has shown a ton already this year….happy for him and hope he gets a chance to compete next year against a vet or rook
