One quarter of the way through the season, the Pats are 2-2. The offense, which has sure seemed to struggle at times (first half vs. Buf, entire game vs. Arizona), still has been remarkable.

- Pats are #1 scoring team in the NFL with 134 points, averaging 33.5 ppg.
- Pats are #1 in the NFL in yards gained per game, with 438.3 per game.
- Pats are #5 in the NFL in pass yards gained per game, with 294.3 per game.
- Pats are #8 in the NFL in rush yards gained per game, with 144.0 per game.
- Pats are #6 in the NFL in pass yds per attempt, with 8.0 ypa.
- Pats are #6 in the NFL in passer rating, at 102.4.
- Pats are #12 in the NFL in rush yds per attempt, with 4.2 ypc.

In other words, the Pats have an elite offense (no surprise), which is especially encouraging considering the injury to Hernandez and the banged up offensive line. Moreover, they've done this while playing 3 of the first 4 games on the road, and 3 games against what were thought to be terrific defenses (Ari, Bal, Buf).
