I'm about to roll out the Patriots Pandemonium Positional Previews, and I try to work explanations of my deeply deranged vocabulary into the works, but I thought it would be courteous to have a single reference point for y'all, just in case some poor soul is twisted enough to actually read my drivel!!

Diagnostic Acuity ~ Analytical Prowess: FootBall Smarts!!
Processing Speed ~ Reading + Reacting Rapidity!!
Core Strength ~ Power generated from the Abbs, Glutes, Lower Back, and Thighs!!
Fluidity ~ Liquidity of Core Movement
Launch Velocity ~ Burst off the Snap!!
Dexterity ~ Adeptness with the Hands!!
Ricochet ~ Explosiveness from an Angle + Burst out of Breaks!!
Verticity ~ Sharpness of the Turn + Burn ~ Flip of the Hip!!
Navigation ~ Ability to Run Routes + Get Open!!
~
Grizzlies ~ Offensive Lineman + Defensive Linemen ~ except Dragoons!!
Tight Ends ~ Classical Hybrid Beasts ~ Rob Gronkowski
Flex Ends ~ "Receiving" Tight Ends ~ Jimmy Graham
Wing Backs ~ Hybrid Freaks ~ Aaron Hernandez
Power Backs ~ Hard Yard Mashers ~ Jerome Bettis
Swing Backs ~ Power Backs than can catch the Ball ~ Steve Jackson
Tail Backs ~ Slashers with Speed & 3rd Down Backs
Flex Backs ~ Tail Backs who're serious Receiving Threats
MidFielders ~ Middle LineBackers + OutSide LineBackers
Dragoons ~ Defensive End/OutSide LineBacker Hybrids

Wouldnt 1 and 2 be quite similar or atleast difficult to keep apart ?

Oh, GOD, no, Brother Daigle.

I, for one, have amazing Diagnostic Acuity, but abysmally slow Processing Speed.

That's not to say there isn't an intimate relationship between the two, mind you.

Although I am but an apprentice on the field of football by not having played it myself but in terms of what you call in america, "soccer", the reaction usually comes from experience or football smarts. As in seeing how the play will turn out thereby giving you a fast reaction since you know whats coming.

Not to argue with your brother OTG because this is just a minor issue and let it not hold us back in our quest for the perfect draft but in my opinion, it would be difficult scouting a prospect and knowing if he reacts fast to the play or if he´s got the football smarts to know how the play is gonna proceed.

Man...what are you trying to do? Quickly work your way up to 30,000 posts????? ))Nice vocab......

I guess what's sad is that I understand your vocabulary with just one read.

I have no life....... sigh. :bricks:

I think Dragoons is my favorite. I'm picturing them wielding spears.

This should be a sticky in the Patriots Draft Talk forum!

Trying to keep track of all of that gives me a headache, but I take comfort in an old saying:

"If the English language made any sense, lackadaisical would have something to do with a shortage of flowers."

Great. Just when I was getting the hang of, "On a scale of one to five, I rate this guy a...."

That means if he says a player has one at a high level and he turns out to be a bust he can always say the player lacked the other.

In other words, Off the Grid thinks fast but types slow!

that presents a pretty senseless image of uselessness.

A Dragoon is a horse mounted soldier.

a spear is a short pointy stick which wouldn't go much if any past a horse's nose while you are sitting on it. pretty ineffective.

Horsemen traditionally are armed with lances, swords, or even bows, (Dragoons typically would be armed with a saber (type of sword))

Off the Grid, I wish you would've been named the salary cap wizard. That way I could have a bunch of blown up pictures help me make sense of all of that.

Oh...Did I miss another Election??

Yeah, I played Salary Cap Fantasy FootBall for about 5 or 6 years, so I KNOW I'd be good at it!! :singing:

In any case: We sincerely appreciate your support. :snob:
