Other than Watson that's...not exactly an inspiring list.
I guess I'm on Team "Rookie Quarterback". lol
2021 is looking bleak right now. I see an incoming 5-11 record.
If they find a good QB as a bridge I think 9-7 and wild card is doable. If it’s status quo meaning Stidham then I can see a 3 win season and a top 3 pick in 2022.2021 is looking bleak right now. I see an incoming 5-11 record.
How many more games can we win with the following, likely doable with our cap money. I expect some of the youngsters to improve and some value from 2021 draftees or UDFA's. You're saying that having a QB, bringing back the opt-outs, spending $50M of Cap money, and drafting will result in 2 FEWER games won? Were you one of those predicting 4 wins last year?2021 is looking bleak right now. I see an incoming 5-11 record.
What are you smoking? His numbers are good? 31st in yards with 2,055. 16 TD with 8 INT and a QBR rating of 61.3 You really do have to be smoking something great to call those numbers good.Tribisky is being overlooked.
His numbers are good and he's been relatively reliable health wise. His confidence is rock bottom because he went before Mahomes and Watson.
I believe that McDaniels could work with him.

OFFENSE
QB: replace cam with Trubisky, Mariota, Winston, or Brisette
RB: one of White or Burkhead (with improvement from Taylor)
WR: at least two serious upgrades (not difficult (the bar is low)
TE: one serious upgrade
OL: lose Thuney, improvements from rookies and Wynn and an addition
DEFENSE
DL: re-sign Butler, Guy and add a NT
LB: add Hightower and a free agent
CB: sign Jackson, give some bucks to Gilmore (and/or) add)

So, our 2020 defense was terrible and adding Hightower, a NT, and a mid-level free agent LB will make it worse. I guess that we all live in our own worlds. Stats don't tell everything, or even close. However, please show that our 2020 defense was terrible. This team is trending in the wrong direction.
QB's listed above won't do diddly squat. See below.
You're also expecting an upgrade at WR/TE which has been a massive need since 2018. I'm not going to hold my breath significant upgrades are incoming.
They arguably have the worst front 7 in the league and has been a need since 2018. Signing Butler and Guy and adding a NT is not enough. And are we adding a body or is this NT any good? The D desperately needs a bona fide playmaker with the front 7. In fact, they need 3-4 new starters on the front 7.
Even if they keep both Gilmore and Jackson, their front 7 is embarrassing terrible.
I will wait until after FA and the draft, but as of right now, they are a 5-11 team at best. I predicted 9-10 wins last year as I didn't think Cam Newton would be the worst QB in the NFL by far.
The hard truth is that no matter how clever your coach is or how good the rest of your roster is, without at least a solid quarterback you are NOTHING
