I am a 20 year season ticket holder sitting in the 200s and wanted to make a post regarding our observations from yesterdays game.
Jimmy G was playing lights out in the first quarter..this was quite clear, but what may have gone unnoticed at home, but NOT to many of us in 202, was that the Patriots took their foot OFF the gas prior to the Jimmy G shoulder injury.
It was very evident from our perspective. After their 3rd touch down and just starting the second quarter, we noticed many defensive players coming on and off the field in a very lackadaisical(sp?) manner. The offense would then come on and the temp was different, the vibe was different, everything was different.
Again, this was BEFORE Jimmy was injured....just an observation. Did anyone else notice it?
Also, I loved how the crowd started singing along for the National Anthem. It gave me goose bumps. Ortiz also gave me goose bumps as well. Finally, when the crowd started chanting "Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy" after he went down, that was a special moment.
