Oakland Raiders - Yard Sale?

Coaches/Mgmt. trying to motivate players before a huge game?

I've been saying that the Raiders are a way better team than most around here are giving them credit for. I have a hard time believing they are raising the white flag tied for 2nd in a division that is totally up for grabs.

I don't know if the possibility of being traded out of the Oakland cesspool would be the motivation management is looking for.

Give me Rolando McClain please. Not a need of course, but he rocks.

Did they say why?

If they win today, they are 1/2 game out of first place with 5 games still to be played in the division!!!!!!!!!

Their crowds have been horrible. However, bad play does do cause that.

Hi all,

I was just watching Sunday Countdown and Schefter reported that the Raiders have said that EVERYONE on the roster is available for a possible trade. Other than that really expensive corner that we would all love to have, should we be interested in any other player currently on that roster? How about someone like Michael Bush? What about bringing back Big Sey? Anyone?

I want Sey Monsta back. That immedately solves both the interior pass rush, fixes the run to the weakside, and enbles the ILBs to blitz and also frees the ROLB to pass rush more quickly.

But I don't think we have to trade for him. He is franchised, and can be signed in the off-season for nothing but money. That would really make Al Davis angry, as we draft a stud OLB or Offensive lineman, with the Oakland pick. The Oakland pick becomes only a Seymour "rental fee", for two seasons. The money pot to afford Richard, is what BB reserved for Mankins and Moss, and no longer neeeds for that purpose.

"Hey, we'll give you a 1st rounder for Asomugha.

No, our 1st rounder, not yours! "

Your right, they're not trading anyone, this is an annual event for Uncle Al

Won't that have the reverse effect of what they intended? I know if I was on the Raiders and heard this I would try to have my worse game ever.

Don't know if this game was their worst ever but...
They just tanked against 0-5 San Fran
Thanks for the pick Al

I bet they're looking to move Seymour. No way he's franchised again ...... he might just sign the 110% or so tender (with a new CBA). I think somebody, other than us, can get Seymour for a fourth. A 'Rental' perhaps, but like Ted Washington once was ........ a trip to the playoffs for that one year. Philly, would be a good destination and he might sign with them after all but, again, that would be secondary to simply getting to the playoffs. Philly would no longer be small on the DL.

It could also mean they've had enough of McFarland's injury concerns. I doubt they'd trade NA.

I'd definitely inquire about the availability of M. Bush (see McFarland above though). I'd move a 3rd for him. We could still draft a RB next year (Ingram) if he didn't work out. We could use the depth. That said the Raiders would want more probably.

Not that safety is a pressing need but Tyvon Branch is a tackling machine. Given Sanders and now Page are both dinged up I'd throw a 6th their way for him.

*McFadden

I think the Raiders will keep both RB's though.
