O/T: Calvin Anderson has a special talent

He does look lean (small?) for 6'-5" 300 lbs

The Broncos had a tradition of developing small lineman
Look at the way the Pats have constructed their line, they have Trent on the left and Onwenu on the right… two guys too big to fail, pile movers who rely more on mass and muscle.

Next to Trent is Strange, an amazing athlete who is strong. Calvin Anderson is the similar to Strange in that regard, he has elite mobility and strength. Calvin’s three cone was better than any offensive lineman at the combine, his shuttle was tied with the best score. He also bench pressed it 30 times at his pro day. He’s a great athlete.

There’s a mass guy on either side where they grind out 3rd and inches, there’s superior athletes who can pull across the entire line and reach defenders on the opposite side. A good mix of size and athleticism. Anderson’s size is irrelevant if he can hold up against the bull rush and mirror speed rushers.

Moving Trent to RT would be optimal—if we have a bona fide LT in Calvin Anderson.

What a gap run blocking power duo we would have over there! A nightmare for most front 7’s.

Anderson is a pivotal player for this season since we are thin at the spot. No pun intended.
