I am surprised the Patriots don't have a QB on the practice squad. If Brady gets dinged up they have a quality backup but not much else. Is this typical? I know they have typically only had two Qbs on the roster but it is a little bit of a risk.

Since everyone is saying Edelman isn't doing his job as WR this year, we can afford to have him as the backup behind JG.

It seems like more often than not during the Brady era the team has gone with only 2 QBs on the roster.

If both Brady and Jimmy G go down we just sign a free agent but at this point i don't think it will matter. Generally if you need to depend on your 3rd QB you are screwed.

you really think the patriots should be really worried about having a guy in case both Brady and Jimmy get hurt? If those guys did would they even promote the person on the PS?

It sounds like their desperation option at QB is T.J. Yates, who isn't eligible to be on the practice squad.
