PICK IT APART!
---------------------------------------
This is without another $11M or so from the direct and in indirect affects of a new CBA. The indirect effects would mean longers restructure and contract periods.
------------------------------
CAP MONEY AVAILABLE
Current Status $4.1M

RESTRUCTURES $7.9M
(OVER CURRENT CONTRACT
LENGTHS)
Colvin 2.25
Green 1.5
Vrabel 1.5
Bruschi .45
Dillon 1.5
Harrison .7

SIGN ERFA's ($1.7M)

RE-SIGN McGINIST $4.0M
($3M more if not re-signed) -------

SUBTOTAL $14.3M

NET CAP COSTS ($5.3M)
Sign Draftees and UDFA's ---------
Player 52,53
Reserve for injury

AMOUNT LEFT NOW $9.0M
NEW CBA $11.M
-------
$20M

Not a bad budget at all for free agents and extensions!
This dosn't include the release of Poole or anyone else.

When you say pickit apart that means that these are projections that you are making, right?

OK. first problem- we are 2.5 mil under the cap according to the lates stuff from Miguel.

The only way that the Pats could be $4.1 M under the adjusted cap figure is if Richard Seymour's $3 million salary decrease was not offset by a roster bonus. IMO, there is no way that Seymour plays for just $2 million in new money this year.

If $2.5M is right, then we have $7.4M for free agents without a new CBA and about $18.4M with a new agreement.

Pretty much, so I don't see the point of this when a CBA extensions does not even look likely.
