You usually have to wait until the 3rd/4th season before a player really reaches their prime. That's the intersection of peak athleticism and knowledge/experiencce.

You can wait 4 years if you have someone else playing. I can agree with a year, maybe two, but anything longer is damaging to an evolving roster. As someone else have said, you will know sooner than later if someone is good enough to play, and play well.
 
It's his fault he got hurt?? In a sport where the average career expectancy is about 3.5 years lots of injuries happen..

Sorry to confuse you but never touted the merits of Harry, my contention is and was wait and see and do not pass judgement until Jan. 2021... not complicated.

Okay, so you're citing a 3.5 year career expectancy to defend Harry, but then you say we need to wait 3 years for him to contribute.

Harry has repeatedly been compared to Anquan Boldin by his defenders. Below is the stat line for Boldin in his rookie year:
