NFLN First Round Mock

From where I sit this is a fine job. I look forward to Gosselin's mock.

The only picks I really don't like are those made by Faulk. He's clueless. see below for his hall of shame. I did not list his fine picks of Bradford and Bulaga.
7 Bryant
19 Mays
25 Robinson
31 Tenant

Some interesting rationale and commentary, particularly from Mayock (who seems to see us wheeling and dealing). Eisen got our pick :ugh: and he sees that too, but absent the ability to he went with Odrick...

The really comical stuff is Marshall Faulk's ****amamie picks and Mayock's reaction to them... Honestly, NFLN should just move on from the Faulk experiment.

Spirited mock debate gives hints at how first round could unfold

If we have to stay at 22 I really like Pouncy more and more after hearing Mayock's assessment that he's the only Olineman on the board who could play 4 positions.

I hear what your saying, but when you have Koppen at center, it's a big need. Also, Neal is injury prone and doesn't have much left in the tank. Pouncey can play both positions. In addition, if we ever want to see what Maroney can do, get him some good run blocking lineman that can actually open up holes. BB has called out the O-line a lot regarding their lack of run blocking. Then again, I didn't need BB to validate my opinion.

However, if there aren't any pass rushers available and Pouncey is gone, I'd trade out and try to grab a 2nd and 3rd rounder.

Pouncey is a horrible fit in our offense and in our division with all the 3-4 teams.

Pouncey has never had a QB behind him that was under center. Pouncey never had to make line calls, Tebow did all that for him. Pouncey and his twin were MAULED by Mt. Cody and left the feild in tears in the SEC championship game. It was so bad that Tebow ran 1, count them, 1 QB dive play in the SEC championship game. The bread and butter play of the great Florida offense, taken out of the game plan because Pouncey and his twin were beaten like dogs by Mt. Cody.

What is Pouncey going to do when lined up across from the likes of Hampton, Jenkins, Williams, etc. etc. etc. He is going to fold like a cheap suit and probably get Brady killed back there.

Let Indy have Pouncey, we don;t need him.

What

Not really sure about that. Patriots managed to win Super Bowls with JAGs at RT, in particular.
The point is that Brady wasn't taking anywhere near as much huge hits as he is now. And I don't remember any teams getting heavy pass pressure off of 3 man rushes and dropping everyone else back into coverage like in the Saints Phins and Ravens games.

brady was geting the ball out of he's hand a lot faster. this year. he was looking for deep ball way to much. IMO that may have been because of the defense giveing up the lead so much he felt the need to score every time he got the ball.
