Ian Thomas looks pretty decent so far in limited viewing. I'll watch how he develops with the Panthers with great interest. I thought he would be a nice fit here as a TE2.

Does Greg Olsen have anything left after coming back from foot surgery? Wouldn’t mind him in a trade considering the panthers have all these options now. Funchess plays like a tight end/ WR.

They gave Olsen an $11 million signing bonus not even four months ago. He’s not going anywhere.

Kyle Williams was also limping around after the game with a brace on his right leg.

I would've loved either Thomas or WR DaeSean Hamilton with the 3rd-rounder that Bill sent to SF for an out-of-favor RT who he for some reason believes is worthy of becoming Tom Brady's starting LT.

As of now, that move would have left the Pats with Waddle, Cannon, Croston, Tobin or Ulrick John as starting LT.

...or Ryan Ramczyk, if Bill hadn't decided to rent the lost little Cookie for a year.

Fair enough. Who are the receivers though? Cooks wasn't quite what we all wanted, but he was still key to several wins, most notably against Jacksonville. If anything, we might have been better off trading them Butler and our 1st for their 11th pick and taking Lattimore. That would challenge for the best cornerback tandem in the league. Ah, hindsight!

I've mentioned him before, but RB Warren is fun to watch for the Raiders. If he somehow doesn't make their squad, then some team will snap him up as soon as he's available. Great power.

I thought sam shields had retired and behold he’s in a rams uniform. Has a history of concussions but can play when healthy.

Really thought this guy might be on our radar last year. Looks like he had a strong game today.

Not the grass is greener normally . but id love to have Gallup esp. with MM out..
He moves as seamless as the wind..

notes from week 2 opposition

Blake Bortles in midseason form.
Campbell in midsummer form.
Ngakoue in boogienights form.

I watched the first half of the Vikings Jags game to see where they're at. That was a penalty fest. I think the Jags alone had 7 penalties in the first quarter alone. Not sure how the NFL refs are going to call the game but if they keep giving Brady first downs it won't be anything like the AFFCG.

I read you between the lines . But Jags do look very undisciplined at the moment on and off (well sort of) the field and id expect Coughlin to react.

Looks like playoff days of wine and roses are more real than SB hangover..

EDIT: But really, those penalty yards are as well (and as hard) earned as any . tribute to coaching staff for most disciplined and best football educated team in the league..

Man I really liked Gallup coming out. Guy does a lil bit of everything (except blocking lol) Tough, do it all type that works all over the field. Was vg at tracking the ball, grabbing 50/50 even though he's not the biggest guy.
