NFL Playoff Discussion (Other Teams)

Sean Payton has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. His star running back is now healthy. They have a great defense. They will run the ball. Nix won't be a factor other than play action. Allen won't see the field since Denver will dominate TOP.
24-10 Donks
Dobbins is good, but I think a star is a bit of a stretch.
Buffalo is susceptible to the run, but they were much better the last 3 games of the reg season and they get Oliver back.
Buffalo will load up to stop the run, Nix isn't going to do enough to beat their 4th best pass defense.
Josh will find a way to move the ball.
Bills win by 10, minimum.

Star running back?
He'll probably trip over a rug on the way to the field, and tear his labia.

And Buffalo lost to the Texans. Denver beat the Texans in their house. What’s your point?
My point it is foolish to state BUF has no shot beating DEN which was what the poster stated.

Folks were complaining a lot with regard to the format of the playoffs, suggesting that system is terribly broken. I had a couple of thoughts. I'm sure that many disagree.

1) The best 8 teams are in the playoffs.

2) I don't think that having an extra wild card with one of the best records in the league is a terrible thing. It wasn't terrible for us to play LAC at home. I liked watching the extra game on TV.

3) Rewarding fan bases with a home game is a good idea.

I wonder if McDermott’s seat warms up if the Bills lose today.

Do not blitz Allen if you want to win; or at least blitz him very infrequently…

Josh Allen’s cheat code is that move he does where he swings out of the pocket, goes on the run and pretends he’s about to throw. If the spy bites on it and jumps, he’s able to run past him while the spy is slowed down. That and his overselling contact to draw a flag, he loves flopping. Avoid those and he can be contained.

Those are all ok if you could just get rid of WC MNF. (After this year, cause it helped/helps us …maybe?).

I think that it was incredibly beneficial for the Pats, especially Maye, to play against the Chargers, a team that's good enough to be a challenge but not good enough to punish every mistake. The added pressure of ''lose and go home'' is not something you can get accustomed to without playing the games.

All things being equal, i actually prefer our schedule of playing the Chargers and the Texans, rather than not play for two weeks and then jump straight into playing the Bills. If we beat the Texans, the added experience of beating two great defenses will prepare the team for anything that can happen for the rest of the playoffs.

Let's not forget that since eliminating the second seed getting a bye as well, four of the last five Super Bowl champions have won the championship without the bye. It's an advantage but 9 hours from now there's a very possible scenario in which we need to beat the Texans and the Bills at home to get to the Super Bowl, and the team with the bye has been eliminated.

While I agree, the alternative choice is 3 games on SAT and 3 on Sunday. The league prefers Monday night to 1 PM on SAT.

So many posters and analysts have said that you can get a QB anywhere in the draft, he doesn't need to come in top dozen pick.

Have they? What I see is annual variations on “Suck for Luck,” teams offering a king’s ransom to trade up in the first round if and only if there’s a top QB prospect available, and laughing that the Jets have no shot at a franchise QB without the #1 pick.

I wonder if McDermott’s seat warms up if the Bills lose today.
I think he gets canned it he doesn’t at least get to the AFCCG.
His seat might warm up, but him getting fired would be a massive surprise only because the lack of alternatives the NFL has to offer. If McDermott goes, so will Brandon Beane. In fact, I'd put more blame on Beane than McDermott. The Bills might be the first team I've seen since watching football in the 90's where a team can continually get worse, yet make the playoffs. 49ers are the 2nd team I've seen for 2025. I'd be shocked if Beane stayed.

I have changed and now want to face Denver.

Yes, winning in Denver is a challenge, but I want this arrogant and disrespectful Bills’ fan base slapped down and given a dose of reality.

I agree with @Tunes that I'm just enjoying the ride. I don't give 2 ****s who we play.
So when I watch the other playoff games, I'm not rooting for or against anyone.
Pats play whoever they play. I like their chances against anyone. Doesn't mean they'll win.
Bring it on, already

Fair point. I still expect changes if they lose. They will have been thwarted several years in a row. The owners could very well believe they’ve gone as far as they can with this group, and feel a new voice is needed.

Hard for me to see Buffalo not winning despite the injuries. They went toe to toe with jax and won based on having the better qb. Denver imo is not as good as jax.
I personally don’t trust either of these teams, but give DEN the HFA.
- Seems like everyone thinking Josh A = Clark K. are picking Jills. I think it’s a team game & their window is closed. The cape retired when Cam left CAR. He’ll keep it close, but I don’t think Jills will close the deal.

Still rather see another home game ( Jill’s win) and then …..we really, REALLY BLOW OUT THE JILLs. So I won’t be hurt if my prediction wrong.

Wild card is: I ALSO just don’t trust the refs in any Josh vs anybody game. My theory has been since 2005 that GoToHell is convinced PERSONALITIES put Butts in seats in front of the TV. So long he views Allen as more bankable than Mix or Drake, if he wants to put a thumb on the scale…. I’m sure he will. And all those parasites addicted to nfl clicks & access will just shrug and go “ bad call, it happens in every game.”
