NFL Playoff Discussion (Other Teams)

I want zero part of Houston. None.

I’d rather play NE, Denver, or anyone other than them.

Their defense is good enough to beat anybody.

Are we still #4 on the Claims??
Yeah #4 from the BOTTOM of the list

But if I'm inferring it correctly, only active teams can make a claim, so if that's the case we are ranked by seed and that would make us 3rd or 4th from the bottom of the list and the lower seeded teams would have preference.

They put up a fight in last year’s Divisional Round vs Philadelphia in inclement weather, but it was about 33 degrees with snow. Next week’s conditions will be much worse. If I’m Chicago, I’m running it down their throats with my physical OL & their light in the ass DL/LBs.

He was injured most of this year and not great last year with the Bears, but he was pretty good with the Seahawks for three years. Still young. Might be worth signing if the Pats have the space. Maybe sign him to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

A bit too early, but for discussion’s sake:

Denver is a tough environment due to the altitude, but as a team, they can certainly be had…as we’ve seen. Denver struggles against creative zone looks that confuse Nix. They can’t run the ball at the moment (although they may get Dobbins back). On defense they have a great pass defense but can get gashed on the ground, and are susceptible to pass catchers at RB and TE as well; our specialty. If we can block Bonitto, Allen & Cooper, we should thrive. Denver is good, but they are small in their front seven. We can beat them up in the run game & gash them with play action. I believe Dre Greenlaw is back from injury, which should benefit them. We just can’t turn the ball over against that secondary which is very good. Their OL/Payton’s knowledge & juicy fruit is the strength of the offense, as they’ve allowed the least (or second least) amount of sacks this year. Pressuring Nix is key. There is no one I fear on that offense at all; pretty mediocre at best. They do have some speed with Franklin & Mims.

Are we sure we’d rather see Buffalo & Allen instead of Denver?? Denver seems kinda overrated…
I don't want Denver for a number of reasons - including playing at a 1 mile altitude. Heck if I were the coach I'd drive the team up to Mt. Washington and make them do sprints up the final stairs to affirm that, yes, the lack of O2 does make a difference.

While I think the D's effort to step up and really win the game against the Chargers, they're going up against what is probably the BEST OL in the league so I don't expect them to get the same amount of pressure on Nix.

Compare that to a team where Allen alone seems to strap the team on his back - a team we KNOW we can beat - leaves me scratching my head as to why playing Denver AT Denver is the preferred matchup. So I'm rooting for Buffalo.

That being said, the Pats sure do have a great road record! But I'm content to let that record continue at Levi's Stadium!

I think Denver may be a great place for Maye to play. The high altitude benefits the deep ball.

Of all the teams left, the last one i want to see is allen and the bills. i really hope denver takes care of them provided we win our game. Last nights performance on defense not withstanding, cook can run the ball on us as well.

Makes sense…I don’t have a true preference per se…Although, I do feel like the NFL wants to see a Josh Allen vs NE showdown. Imagine the ratings. “Superman QB” with the experienced team vs “Young Superman QB” with the emerging team, last year’s MVP vs this year’s potential MVP, division rivals, round 3, in NE (in the storied franchises’ stadium), Vrabel vs Mc Dermott lol etc…but I also feel like they want Allen in the Super Bowl & would manipulate calls in order to make it come to fruition. At the end of the day, we can beat any team, anywhere so IIWII…IM&VWT…
