Next Stop, the Underwear Olympics

Apparently stunk at the Senior Bowl and as Mayo said, has reportedly bad hands. I haven't watched him so can't comment.

He has smaller hands at 9” but he was a productive college player, these were his stats last season in 11 games –
- Receptions-106
- Yards-1635
- Yards per game-148.6
- Yards per catch-15.4
- Touchdowns-17

Jerick McKinnon people. 4.38 40 and a 1.46 split on top of a 40.5 vertical and 11' broad. Another one to get interested in.

Yeah all the great defense play with great synergy (TB, BLT, CHI). Most fans will overrate Seattle's Super Bowl performance, but NFL decision-makers will not. They know that was not only Seattle's best game, but perhaps the best defensive show ever in the Super Bowl.

As far as being multiple, I don't care much about that. It's not the 4-3 Leo that makes them great, but the synergy and the flexibility of the depth chart.

I think that flexibility is great, but I sometimes wonder if we spend too much time trying to adapt from game to game and play different schemes, instead of just working on developing a dominant defense that works well together.

Some unofficial RB 40's from Josh Norris:

- Dri Archer 4.29, 1.46 10 yard split.
- Devonta Freeman 4.50, 1.59 10 yard.
- Ka'deem Carey 4.65, 1.59 10 yard.
- Tyler Gaffney 4.43, 1.53 10 yard.
- Jeremy Hill 4.63.
- Carlos Hyde 4.62, 1.65 10 yard - hammy injury apparently.
- Storm Johnson 4.50.
- Jerrick Mackinnon 4.38, 1.46 10 yard. To go with 32 reps @ 225, 39" vertical and 11" broad jump. Wow.
- Tre Mason 4.44, 1.57 10 yard.

Ridley was 4.65.

The 4.73 by Chris Boyd leaves a lot to be desired. I thought he could have been a nice late round steal but that is really slow.

He'll be fine as long as his character checks out

He's an impressive physical specimen, no doubt about it. His hands are suspect from what I understand, in addition to the "level of competition" question.

Found this on Youtube, the kid is nasty especially after the catch; he plays like 6’3” 220 Lb. Edelman or Amendola.

I will take him in the fifth or sixth round all day every day and twice on Sunday.

I meant Seattle, not us. They switch up their front four more than anyone.

He's the workout warrior of the Combine so far. Top end speed, 10-yard split, vertical, long jump and bench press. Almost identical size to Shane Vereen (5'9" 209# vs. 5' 10 1/4" 210#), who had 31 reps@225.

From NFL DraftScout:

McKinnon, with back-to-back seasons with 1,000-yard rushing totals, finished third all-time on Georgia Southern's career rushing list with 3,899 yards and tied for sixth with 42 career rushing touchdowns. From Marietta, Ga., McKinnon played three different positions in the backfield for the Eagles in his senior season and recorded six games of 100 or more yards of rushing in 2013.

West with NFL speed. 4.56

There's still room on the Fiedorowicz band wagon, come one come all!

Really wasn't expecting him to be too agile never mind fastest 3 cone him & Gronk has been the dream scenario for me for quite some time and with defenses getting smaller....GL rest of the league if those 2 monsters get to line up with Brady passing the ball to them!

I've like Fiedorowicz since the beginning of the season. I think he is everything that BB wants in a TE.

Still could see them also bringing in a MOVE-TE/H-Back type or trying to use Mark Harrison there.

Some more RB times from Josh Norris:

- Lache Seastrunk: 4.45 40, 1.60 10 yard split.
- Bishop Sankey: 4.47 40, 1.59 10 yard split.
- DeAnthony Thomas: 4.34 40, 1.58 10 yard split.
- Terrance West: 4.56 40, 1.59 10 yard split.

I like Fiedorowicz as well, and I think Trey Burton would be a great pick for the Flex-TE position. Another player I have my eye is Don Duncan who did not workout yesterday, I think he could be a gem in the sixth round.

Fiedorowicz is incredibly pedestrian. Do not want him, personally.

The problem I have with this analysis is that it doesn't take into consideration that the Pats need a Red Zone threat beside Gronk. Fiedorowicz has the HEIGHT/HANDS to be just that. He also has the excellent blocking ability to open up holes for the running game.

There are guys you need to get you from 20 to 20 and then there are guys who help you punch it in. Fiedorowicz is the latter..

On a side note I am feeling really freaking old when I click on these players draft profiles and see their DOB in the 90’s :brick:

This is good for Taliaferro

@JoshNorris: Lorenzo Taliaferro first "unofficial" forty: 4.53. 10 yd of 1.63

Was expecting him to be much slower as he's such a big guy.

I also think it is hard to define pedestrian when assessing a college player’s production. What teams do at the college and pro levels are so different, Iowa average 197 passing yards per game which was 93rd in the country, they were not a pass prolific team so 30 catches for 299 yards and 6 touchdowns is really good considering that.

Chandler Jones was pedestrian in college too, but it was because the way they used him. C.J. Fiedorowicz is a good player and I would love to have him on this team, he is a throwback and at the very least he would be a significant upgrade over Mulligan day one. He is consistent too; he had a catch in 18 straight games. If he were on the board at #62, I would have a hard time passing over him.

I'm very worried about BB talking to Matt Millen whilst watching WR prospects

It's probably BB telling Matt that he hitting on 1 of 3 1st round WRs means he doesn't know anything and should keep his mouth shut.. *LOL*

Wow. Just noticed that Campanaro has better numbers than Edelman (just) If he throws in an Edelman-esque 3cone which is a longshot at 6.62, I will become officially very interested.

He doesn't even have to put up Edelmanesque numbers. Anything better than Welker (7.06!) would be something.
