The attytude among the locals here is, "we're the champs and until you beat us, you're still the team that choked on a 3-0 series lead leading in the ninth inning of game 4 versus the Red Sox."
Unlike some previous teams that went into Yankee stadium afraid of the big bad Yankees, these Phillies would like nothing better than to replay 1976 when a returning NL champ swept a Yankees team. Oh and Pedro is itching to pitch game 2. Phils just have to split in NY and they are in good shape......

The truly unfortunate thing about the Yankees is that you'll never hear them talking the stupid trash their fans are so happy to engage in. They're too much like the Patriots for that. I'd be shocked if Jeter ever got caught on tape doing that. He's too busy figuring out which 2 or 3 supermodels he's gonna spend the night with, Stinkin' bastid

I dated a Yankees fan once....worst 6 months of my life. Dated him during baseball season too. To make it worse he was friends with Jeter and Jeter did talk trash in private but no never in public you are right.

I hope Philly kills them!

You're talking about Philly & NY. I think the trash goes both ways. Rollins said the Phillies are going to win in 5 games on Leno. The trash goes both ways with those two places. Ever seen, or been to either? Total dumps if you ask me. NY'ers are rough MF'ers, and Philly fans taunted Joe Jurriviscous about his infant child that died. I'm not sure there is a winner when we're talking cities, or fan base.
