MORSE: The NFL Combine is in the Books, Prospects Thoughts, NFL Calendar
Mark Morse
The NFL Combine or as it's known amongst the scouts, the Underwear Olympics is in the books, and months of preparation by the prospective players either panned out or they have to make a better impression at their Pro Days. I was disappointed in the number of players that chose not to run, throw and compete in the field events.

Don't forget the most excellent performance by Iowa LB Jack Campbell on day one...

Emmanuel Forbes at 166 shocked the **** outta me... I like Miami CB Ty Stevenson; he could be in play as early as #46...

I agree that, if I were taking a TE with my first pick, I would also choose Washington ahead of Mayer... Bryce Ford Wheaton was impressive, though I still prefer Jonathan Mingo as a Day 3 Big WR target; he went to Mississippi himself, same as DK Metcalf...

I thought that Oklahoma LT Anton Harrison, a late-1st-round target, had a good performance on day four, though his pass-blocking footwork could stand improvement; he checks all other boxes otherwise...

"Evan Hull RB Northwestern 5’ 10” 201 lbs ran a 4.47 and had a 6.90 3-cone drill. He looked very very comfortable in pass-catching drills despite having small hands at 9 1/4 inch hands."

- One of my very favorite RBs in the entire draft, because the cost of acquiring him should be much lower than that of the top guys... How much lower is the big question; he's still being grouped with the 7th-round talent, but he might go higher than that.
