No doubt about it McCourty has been a leader on and off the field 10 years now..

Ordered a white #32 McCourty from the Pro Shop last week. Was debating for a while between getting his jersey or waiting for a young new player to emerge but the more I thought about it, DMac was the perfect choice. He was the first draft pick I ever watched the Patriots make, has been instrumental in 3 rings, and is an amazing leader off the field. Even if he retires or switches teams next year, I'll be proud to wear that jersey.

With Brady gone, Devin is the face of the franchise now. I love his leadership, and he’s just a great person too. He’s one of the reasons why I don’t think the Pats will be a bad team. This team still has GREAT leadership. The McCourty twins (Jason was a big loss late last season), Hightower, Slater, Edelman, Chung, Gilmore, James White, Bolden, even David Andrews and Lawrence Guy, all bring veteran leadership to the locker room.

And of course the greatest coach of all time brings legendary leadership to the team.
